Expectations....

CHAPTER1

My name is Lia, I am an intern working for RC company. I am an hardworking person but till today I am unable to become an Apple of my seniors eyes because my interest lies in designing and not in sales department.I am into this job only because on some personal issues. Harry is my best friend we know eachother since kindergarden, I have been following him every possible place whether it was school or high school . I am not a stalker but he is my crush.He is talented person an amazing artist.I always feel he is hiding something from me but till today I am unable to unfold his secret, he leaves the office and rush to catch the bus going opposite direction. Till now my hopes are alive and still I am planning to confess my true feelings to him.

Again I wonder what will his expectation then I make my mind saying I have no guts besides there is nothing wrong in these as since my first day of internship I had more work compared to others as I never told them how cruel it is to me or even I never tried to object their acts. Finally it's time to leave but wait why I thought live is easy again my seniors and a colleague passed their work on me and I accepted.

It's 7pm I finished my work only task remaining is to print the documents so I went to the printer suddenly I heard a noise it was as if some one was opening the door. I went close in a low voice I asked who is there? there came no reply I put the flash in the direction the noise here I saw Dylan. Dylan is not like others is introvert person, he always stay with his work . None of us know who's family he belongs to. His only friend is Harry they enjoy being with eachother.

Dylan was shocked to see me there it looked for him as though I was for some other work ,I thought the same because he explained me he was here for a file which CEO asked him . CEO never contact anyone except for senior.Dylan and I left together. Before leaving he asked me if I am being bullied by someone, I nodded saying no because I already have loads of trouble and didn't wanted to invite more.Whole way we were talking to eachother getting to know how we actually are.

CHAPTER 2

 A whole day passed it was amazing to meet Dylan. I thought he was like others but I was wrong he is caring and sweet , wait did I say sweet . After thinking about today I went to sleep.It's morning another day of this month. I reached on time , no seniors passing their work to me all engaged in their own work and then comes the great announcement . We interns have to sell one of the product's a hundred piece. Luckily I was paired with the most talented among all the interns Dylan and my sweet crush Harry.

When we arrived we found all the stalls were boring none had any thing which could attract the customers , 2 hours passed no one coming . Another 10 minutes we are pissed off.Dylan called me and Harry in a corner he asked us what's our opinion about the stall, if we were the customers then what might be our demand and do we have any utility for the product. Our anwers was clear no because only technical workers require this products.This answer made us realise we were selling it at a wrong place to those who can never require the product . Dylan said he will prepare a chart to simplify the usage of the product. I said I will print pamplets and gather crowd.Harry decided to make the stall stand among the rest. After an hour when we gathered I brought 25 customers , Harry made the stall look colourful using spray paint and Dylan made a flow showcasing the importance of the product.

All the products assigned to us were sold and ultimately we three won other 3 groups could hardly sell 10 to 12 products.Our CEO personally called us to his cabin he praised us for our work and asked to work in the future with the same spirit.Harry and I left,Dylan was asked to wait. Once we were out we were listening hoping CEO don't say anything to hurt him. We couldn't hear anything when Dylan came out he was happiest among all. We three decided to celebrates our first win tonight.

CHAPTER 3

Today was my lucky day everything was going above what I expected. Dylan Harry and I we reached the place we decided to go for dinner, reaching their all changed . When we entered we saw our seniors sitting there having drinks so we quickly escaped before they could see. Next place where we went their we saw our CEO having drinks with his assistant so again we had to leave.

Finally we decided to go to Harry's house because we were nearby, whole I was happy because today's day was special Harry finally after many days had time to spend with me and Dylan. Also I was not having any work as no one passed their work on to me.

Reaching Harry's place we were shocked to see his clothes lying every place , paints on floor, papers lying on floor.He went in and brought dustbin then started to do the cleanup Dylan and I joined him we cleaned his house then helped him cook . Initially only Harry and I was cooking but after 10 minutes Dylan too joined us .Harry washed the veggies, I did chopping and Dylan helped us by wiping the plates and glasses. After all the dishes were cooked we placed them on the center table and on the tv we were enjoying eating and drinks. Then rang my phone I went at a distance to talk because it was my mother's call.My mother is very strict and greedy according to me today also she asked to try to be attractive in front of the CEO . She don't understand her expectations from me are wrong. She send me away from only to grab a favor from CEO.

I recalled how she used to hit me when I tried to go against her wish. How she used me since dad left her. My dad was an gentleman he was exhausted by my mother's growing greed and one day he left us on our own due to this neither I have any feeling for mother nor for dad nor do I miss them. Since childhood I only had Harry who could understand me and Nia she is mother's secretry . She was the one who saved me from my mother's anger whenever I committed mistakes. She always played the role of a elder to me and now I made another friend Dylan.

When I excused myself after 2 min Dylan got a call it was from his dad he was happy when he returned , together we started drinking and eating the delicious food prepared by three of us.

CHAPTER 4

After dinner all three of us sat watching the stars and having drinks, we indeed had a lot of drink above our tolerance level and slept one upon the other.Next morning when alram rang we wokeup and were startled to see eachother we realized what not we did last night . Harry brought us a strong cup of coffee to make us feel sober actually the coffee worked we were getting rid of our hangover.

I went to freshen up first I recalled having kept some clothes in one suitcase at Harry's house so I changed into new clothes, Dylan too borrowed Harry's cloth. When we were having breakfast Dylan suddenly asked us to forget about his and CEO's relationship what he told last night of hoe his mother loved someone who is only 12 years younger to him and how now CEO is his dad and how they both want him to be reponsible enough to handle the company.The spoon from my hand fell as this secret was too much for me to digest . Harry smiled saying he knew this long back as he heard their talk once.

Then Harry stood up and said okay if this is the time to reveal the secrets than let me share mine, I am learning art and someday I will held my own exhibition that's the only reason I was leaving the office early and I will fly above my expectation's because now I finally decided what I want I will leave the company once I finish the three months internship.Dylan and I started to clap listening Harry.

I got up and said I want to become a designer , I want people to see my designs on ramp ,on magazines and a boutique . All this is the only dream I have . Before I could another word I got a call Nia she said she got married today and has resigned from her work now she will travel the world with her husband and will do all what she wanted to do for years, at the end she said don't waste the life given to you living as per others expectations and said bye. I kept tinking about her words.

CHAPTER 5

It had been a week since we revealed our secrets to each other we all were now closer to other and had developed and bond full of understandings. Harry did what he told us but he it early it wasn't the end of internship yet he left as he was offered to learn from an famous artist . Dylan too left because he decided to open his own business and wanted to compete against his father.

I was alone who was still living under others expectations, suddenly my phone rang my mother started to shout saying how can someone be as useless as me who can't even grab someone's attention, after yelling she kept the phone. Then my colleagues tried to offer me overtime but this time I stood firm and refused them all were amazed.

Next day I windup my stuffs and left the office forever all were shocked to see a coward girl walking with her headup and resigning . I thought life would be easier then before but I was wrong .My mother slapped me threw me out of the house but luckily I had already planned something for me.

CHAPTER 6

Now it's been a year I was working in an designing company I was learning something new everyday , Harry by now was actually holding his exhibitions he was quite famous .Dylan was busy recently he established his own company also now he is no more single finally he found his miss right.I too got famous in designing industry all were loving my style and I was flooded with new projects.

I had been free this days from living under other's expectations and my mother she faced a huge loss in her business now she started back her buisness but is constantly being haressed by the client whom she cheated. Nia was blessed with baby girl last week . The only guilt I have is I never had the courage to tell my crush that I loved him for quite a long time.

A month later someone knocked at the door it was Dylan he gave me flowers and wished me for making a huge progress and he whispered saying I should have told him that she liked Harry a lot before saying it loud as I had lot of chances.I was shocked to hear this then he moved aside and there stood Harry with a ring he walked towards me and got on his knee and proposed me I stood still and asked Dylan to pinch me hard he pinch much harder then I asked him. Harry then said You don't recall but I remember interrupting him Dylan said I too recall every single word, Harry smiled and said a year ago when we gathered at my place after drinking we had revealed our secrets I after complaining about life had confessed, saying The only person you love is me and no one.He then said he promised her that night that he propose her once he finishes his world tour.

Then he asked me if I still love him, I just kissed him and Dylan threw the flowers he was holding , we kept kissing...."NEVER LIVE LIFE AS PER OTHERS EXPECTATIONS LIVE IT FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE AT THE END NO ONE CARES FOR YOUR PAIN BUT ONLY CARE FOR YOUR FAME"
