The Two Sisters

"I got a plan." says Ella to her sister Sophie. Flashback..... One day Ella came home from work to Sophie and her boyfriend Jack fighting. Ella sighed after she heard them screaming at each other. "I-I saw y-you kissing another girl at the r-restaurant and even m-my best friend." yells Sophie. "I would never cheat on you. Can we just sit and talk calmly? " said Jack. "Fine." Sophie says with a mean tone. "Ella can you go get us some water?" Sophie said. "I can't find it, can you help me?"  Ella says. Sophie walks to the kitchen and Ella secretly hands Sophie a bag of clear liquid. Ella winks at Sophie giving Sophie the clue to put it in her boyfriend's drink. "I've got a plan." says Ella to her sister Sophie. "Let's put it in his drink then hide him in the forest." Ella said. "What will we say to the police after?" Sophie asked. "We can say he left the house after the fight and never came back, we'll file a missing person's report tomorrow for him," said Ella.Ella puts the liquid in Jack's drink while Sophie walks to the living room where Jack was sitting. Ella walks into the living room and hands them both a drink. "I thought you might want a drink because you got a lot of explaining to do Jack," said Ella.  Jack took a drink of the water, “I would never do that to you…” said Jack. After arguing back and forth Ella stopped them, “This is going nowhere, let's just sleep for the day and talk again tomorrow.” Ella said. Sophie and Jack both agreed and went to bed in separate rooms. “Unfortunately Jack won’t be back for tomorrow's talk, “ said Sophie. That night Ella and Sophie went into the bedroom where Jack was lying lifeless. His body was starting to get cold. ”We should get some gloves on and grab whips, we’ll need to wipe the dirt off.” Sophie said. “I’ll grab the stuff you get the body outside,deal? “ Ella asked. “Deal” Sophie replied. Sophie and Ella meant outside, as Sophie dragged Jack to the car as Ella tossed the gloves and wipes in the car. They drive to the forest 3 hours away from them, chop up his body and dump the pieces throughout the forest so it will be hard to find him. “Is that all of him?” Sophie asks. “Yea” Ella said. “Can we go now, it’s getting creepy out here.” Sophie asks. “Alright, let's dig a hole to throw the gloves in.” Ella said. “With what?” Sophie asked. “ I have a Pen in my pocket that we can use.” Ella said.They dig a small hole around 2 miles from the forest. Then they go home, wash up, and go to sleep. However Sophie and Ella couldn’t sleep, ...they felt gilt, nervous, and scared. Even though they never spoke to each other when they got home they both knew they were scared that they were gonna get caught. That night went by slowly as they laid in bed warning about everything that happened.They wake up and go back and forth on who’s gonna call the police to file the report. “You can do it! You're his girlfriend!” Ella said. “It would make more sense if you’d call for me.” Sophie said. “Just do it! Call them and tell them y'all had a fight and he left the house and hasn't returned yet.” Ella said. “What if I mess up and they find out?” Sophie asked. “They won’t find out, just don’t mess up!” Ella said. “Fine but if I mess up and we get caught, it’s your fault.” Sophie said. “Fine! Whatever! Just Call !” Ella said. Sophie picks up her phone and calls the police station, “Hello how may I help you?” said the Police. “My boyfriend is missing!” Sophie cried. “Calm down ma’am, what happened?” asked the police. “We had a f-fight and he w-walked out and he hasn’t came back!” Sophie said. Sophie started to cry over the phone. “Do you want to file a missing persons report ma’am?” asked the police officer. “Please! Please find him!” Sophie cried out. “Can you come to the station to fill out a form?” asked the police. “ I can’t get out right now, can my sister come down instead?” Sophie asked. “Sure, just bring the information down either today or tomorrow.” said the police in a nice tone. “Thank you.” said Sophie. She got off the phone and looked at Ella. “You're going to the police station tomorrow to file the report.” Sophie said “What? Why?” Ella asked. “Because, I’ve called you to do the  report.” Sophie said with an agitated tone. “That’s fair. I guess. Ella said  “So what do we do now?” Sophie asked. “We can just drive around and ask if anyone seen Jack, that way we will have witnesses that were looking for him!” Ella said. “You can, I’ll make posters so it looks more believable.” Sophie said “Perfect!” Ella said. For the rest of the day they searched for Jack even though they both knew where he was. Ella went outside door to door asking where he was while Sophie printed out missing posters and stapled them outside on poles and taped them to brick walls all over the neighborhood. They came home 5 hours later tired out, they plopped down on the couch and laid there for a few minutes before speaking. “Wanna order take out?” Ella asked. “Sure why not.” Sophie said. “What do you want?” Ella asked. Sophie paused as she looked at the ceiling she sighed. “I wanna turn myself in.” Sophie said. “What?! You can’t!!” Ella yelled. “I don’t like this feeling…” Sophie said. “At Least wait till after the funeral or at least a year Sophie we can’t get caught now!” Ella said. “You're gonna have to help me keep quiet, I can’t stay quiet for long.” Sophie said. “Alright, just stay in the house and I’ll take care of everything.” Ella said. “Okay…” Sophie said. “I’ll order Mexican for both of us since that’s your favorite.”  Ella said. “Can we watch a movie so I can get my mind off of it?” Sophie asked. “Sure, I’ll go order the food and you start the movie.” Ella said. Food arrives and they start to watch the movies, half way through the movie Sophie asks Ella to get her another drink from the kitchen. Ella went to the kitchen and got Sophie a cup of water but as Ella poured the water Ella thought to herself, then she put a sleeping pill in her drink. She looked at her sister with sadness in her eyes.”I’m sorry Sophie…” Ella whispered. Ella came back and handed Sophie the water, Sophie drank then jokingly said.” You didn’t put anything in it did you?” Sophie jokingly said. “Of Course not, you're my sister.” Ella said. Sophie soon drank the whole cup eventually falling asleep, falling asleep a little bit after. Ella looked over at her sister as she slept. “This will help keep you quiet,”Ella said. Ella dragged Sophie down to the basement and left some food and a note that said: I’m sorry Sophie I can’t risk getting caught here’s some food if you get hungry! Ella layed Sophie down on a blanket with a pillow and locked Sophie in the basement. Sophie soon woke up a couple hours later in a panic.”Where am I ?!?”Sophie said. Sophie looked over at the note and read it over and over wondering why her sister would do this. Sophie started to cry while walking back and forth in the basement wondering and asking herself over and over why. Why would Ella do this? Meanwhile Ella was getting information and pictures together to go to the police station so she can file a missing persons report. Finally the next day arrived, Ella drove to the police station to make a missing report for Jack. Ella walked in and asked one of the officers to help file a missing persons report. “Of Course ma’am!” one of the police officers said. “Here’s all  the information you need, my sister called yesterday trying to file a report and she was told to come up here, she’s such a worried mess that I came up here instead…” Ella said. “I’m sorry to hear that, we’ll try our best to find him.” the officer says. “Thank you officer, my sister will be so happy to hear we have y'all on our side trying to find him!” Ella says.”Good to hear that ma’am.” the officer said. “Do you have everything you need? I need to get back to my sister at home.” Ella said. “We have everything we need, I hope you have a blessed day ma’am.” the officer says. “Thank you for your help and I hope y’all have a blessed day as well!” Ella said. Ella went home and went down to the basement to check on Sophie. As she walked down the stairs and stopped and listened to Sophie cry on the blanket curled up. “What;s wrong Sophie?” Ella asked. “What’s wrong?!?! You locked me in the basement and you have the nerve to ask what’s wrong ??” Sophie yelled. “It’s not that bad here you have a TV, books, blanket, pillow, and food.” Ella said. “It’s still miserable, I’m being locked in a basement by my sister!” Sophie said. “You’ll be fine in here for a bit, I went to the station and I filed the report like you asked.” Ella said. “You're the worst sister ever!” Sophie yelled. “I’m protecting you, why can’t you see that?” Ella said. “Just get out, I don't wanna see your face right now…” Sophie said. “Fine but if you need me press this button on the wall over there.” Ella said. She pointed to a small red button stuck on the wall. “It’s over there.” Ella said. “Whatever, just leave…”Sophie said. Ella left the basement locking it from behind her.

A few weeks go by, Ella would always try to check on Sophie but Sophie would never want to look or speak to Ella. Ella got a call from the police station, “Is this Ella Landrum?” asked the police officer.”Yes, this is her,” Ella said. “We’re sorry but we're going to have to close the missing persons report, there’s no sign of where he could have gone.” said the officer with a sorrowful tone.”I’ll have to tell my sister the news, thank you for trying to find him.” Ella said. “We’re very sorry ma’am if there’s anything we can do to help you please let us know.” says the police officer in a sorrowful tone again. “I will, thank you again. I hope he turns up sometimes.” said Ella. “Let’s hope, I hope you have a blessed rest of your day ma’am.” says the police officer. “You too, officer.” Ella said. Ella got off the phone and went down to the basement to tell Sophie. Ella entered the basement and sat on the stairs. “We got away with it, they can’t find him.” Ella said. Sophie stared at Ella with a mix of anger and sadness in her eyes. “I’m going to get out of here and tell the police the truth.” Sophie said. “There’s no way out Sophie, just keep quiet for now.” Ella said. Ella puts down some food for Sophie. “There’s your dinner, eat please you look like skin and bones.” Ella said. Sophie didn’t say anything, she just looked at the food and looked away.”Fine don’t eat! Starve for all I care.” Ella yelled. Ella ran up, slammed the door and locked it from behind. What Ella didn’t know was that Sophie already had an escape plan. That night while Ella was sleeping Sophie picked the lock on the door to the basement, she grabbed a knife and started walking quietly to the door. Then she heard a noise from behind her, Sophie turned around and froze. Ella stood behind her pointing a gun towards her. “I told you to  stay down there.” Ella said. “I have to tell the truth no matter what! I can’t live with myself knowing that I killed my own boyfriend!” Sophie yelled. “I don’t care, I’m doing this for us Sophie! Why can’t you see that I’m trying to protect you!” Ella yelled. “You're not doing this for us, you're doing this for yourself!” Sophie yelled. “If you take one more step I’ll shoot you!” Ella yelled. “You wouldn’t shoot your own sister!” Sophie yelled back. As Sophie took another step towards the door there was a loud noise. “BANG!!”... Sophie disappeared shortly after that.
