Big News

Today started off like any other day. It was a mess in the kitchen with my brother Timothy Martin and Kameron Martin getting ready to go to school.My mom Karen Martin is busily trying to wake my sisters Serena Martin , Kameron Kam for short. Angel Martin, and Samantha Mandy Martin for short. My mom To get usup and get ready for school. Our dad is Kevin Martin. We currently live in Trenton , New Jersey. It an okay neighborhood.Sorry to say some parts of Trenton are nicers than other parts. By the way I'm Zachary Martin, Zac for short.We all bring sack lunches to school. We were preparing our lunches. Zac, Angel and Mandy always have peanut butter and grape jelly sandwiches. And some sort of fruit, bananas , oranges and granola. And sorry a fruit juice for lunch. It's not the healthiest lunch, but it gets the job done. Timothy, Serena usually have the same thing banana, granola or some other fuit like apples cherries or apples but they have strawberry jelly sandwiches and punch. My dad always runs late or amost always runs late to work every morning. And today is no exception. He drinks his coffee and eats his breakfast on the run. He usaully wakes up and makes his breakfast into a breakfast sandwich with eggs, bacon and toas.t He then eats it on the way to work.Lately my dad Kevin has been fretting over his work lately, because he constantly tell us that his boss is constantly checking up on the employees. Which makes him work harder. He is a hard worker. His boss has been calling people into his office lastely leaving my dad and co-workers wondering whats going on. Dad has been coming home from work feeling anxious. He was wondering when is the right time to ask for a raise. He has been working as an engineer for a long time. He feels that he is in due time in need of a raise. He and mom glanced at each other like they have some king of secret . They state that when we get home from school and dad gets home work that they need to talk to us. We were like okay. But Timothy has a game tonight. Mom states we can have out talk after Timothy comes home from the game. He is a pitcher on the baseball team. Dad left and went to work. He is suppose to leave before we go to school he normally does not. We usually leave the house first. Our mom is a stay at home mom but she used to work as a teacher. Lately she been saying that since the kids are older she wants to go go back teaching. We headed off to school me Zac, Angel and usually walk to school. Mandy, Serena and Kameron get a ride from mom. We pack up our lunches and leave. Mom drops them Kam and Angel at the elementary school. and Serena at the junior high.I ,Zach go to junior high as well but I walk to school. Timothy starts high school in 2 years. We all hang with out friends at school and eat our lunch. Timothy is at practice. He has a game today. Somtimes mom sees his games. Today is the day she sees the games they won by the way. Mom promised Timothy a victory pizza.Then we head home. The school day is finished. We get home Angel me and Zac wait for Timothy to finish his game then head home. we sometimes watch our brother Timothy's game.s Serena, Angel and Kameron are already at home. Sometimes mom picks up the wrong kids. Sometimes she picks up Serena and Angel instead of Cameraon and Serena or something like that.Angel makes a point to get Kam when this happens.. We usually have snacks after school. Hot pockets and potato chips. After everyone starts their homework.Then we help mom make spaghetti, garlic bread and a salad for dinner. Tonight there is ice cream, chocolate, strawberry and mint chocolate chip. everyone is our house loves the mint chocolate chip. It is among the first to run out. then all the other flavors run out. Then my father comes busting in.He says I have some big news. He and my mom leave the room to chat. While were still cooking Angel and Serena set the table. Now we are seated then dad looks at mom she nods her nead. He tell us a few that his boss offered him a postion in Hoboken, New Jersey. His boss told him that they need someone to work in the Hoboken office.He is considering taking the position. Serena asked" do we have to move", dad said yes. He were all shocked that we have to move. they told us we are moving. timothy said "Just like that you expect us to up and leave. My sister Mandy states that I play violin, and Timothy sates he sis on the team. Angel states shes an artist and she playings on studying art. She states there are more museums in Trenton that Hoboken. Mom said we can still visit the museums in Hoboken. It is not that far.We checked and found out they have great sports teams in Hoboken, and great music teachers and good art schools mom explains. Serena stated ,"So does Trenton." We kids did not want to move away from our friends. Mom states that you will make new friends. you can keep old friends as well. You can call the it's not too far.Dad stated that his new job offer gives them more money, and we get to live in a house for free and that the job pays for moving expenses. We can't pass off an offer like that. Mom has lined up a job at a school in Hoboken and that she has took the offer. "It's closer", dad states. He can get home much earlier and not miss our recitals or games. We can spend more time as a family. What more could you guys ask for? No we chime. We do not want to move. We want to stay here. Dad says its not possible. he decide to take the job. They sounded happy. Mom states that she was firmly against it too but she chanaged her mind slowly. she did not want to leave her friends either , she says she can meet new friends and keeps the old ones because Hoboken is not far. Samantha stood up and said we do not want to move." She stormed out the room.Timothy and Kam storm out the room as well. We don't want to leave either. Angel ask can I stay with friends. Mom and dad echoed "NO" We are a family should stay together. All of went to the girls bedroom and decided that we will barcade the bedroom and stay here and not move, Mom heard us and staed that we are moving. This move will be good for us.It a big change and out lives will grow from the new experience. we moved . We did not want to go to new schools. Mom says they have better art programs and sports teams. we felt that we were already in schools that taught art, and have great sports team. We moved ,mom started back teaching . her job was close were she could pick up the kids. dads job allowed him to spend more time with the family. He could easily pick up the kids as well. The house was way bigger than the old one. They were right they had better sports and music teams.We kept in contact with are old friends and new friends. Mom did too.Dad even meet new friends. We were happy we were still together as a family.
