Inspirational Fiction Romance

The fresh cool air caressed my face as I opened the balcony door. It was almost dawn; why was I up? I stood at the door breathing in the crisp fall morning air, I imagined this cool crisp air going into my lungs and out in an even disbursement of invigorating life to all my limbs. It felt like the purest air I’d ever breathed...I felt invincible! I meditated for about 15 minutes enjoying every minute of it as I sat in the chair in front of the door enjoying this morning like no other. What was it about today? Why did I feel that the trees were trying to tell me something! A yellowish orangeness began to peek over the horizon, almost as if it were playing a fun game with me. I listened in amazement to the soft rustling of the leaves stirring gently in the morning breeze. I watched the array of colors as each leaf floated from the tree like an elegant ballerina, performing just for me. BEAUTIFUL! Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion just for my pleasure! It almost invoked tears as I looked in awe at this dawning day. As the sun became bolder in its presents and the silent peace of nothing stirred. I could hear the squirrels gathering food, and I could hear the birds calling one another confirming the feast found for breakfast. Red, yellow, brown, and orange leaves cascade from the trees, with the now even brighter sun emphasizing the delicious colors of each leaf. For just a moment I started to go down that road again! The one telling me how nice it would be if I were sharing this moment with someone else. How beautiful it would feel to find someone, also on a path to unconditional living, someone that is not looking for another to make him happy, but understands that it is an inside job. We come together with heartbeat syncing, similar passions and desires about life, and knowing how to align with our Source and not one another! Waking up early to meditate and having meaningful conversations before separating to our Empires. I think about gazing out of the bedroom window looking up in awe at the moon and all the secrets it holds. You come up behind me and we both say, “Hello Weirdo!” as an inside joke just between us. You kiss me softly on the back of my neck, the warmth of your breath alone aroused me! You softly massage my shoulders and whisper unthinkable things you’d like to do to me! I turn around slowly and meet your lips, loving the strength of your arms around my waist...I quickly put it out of my mind knowing that when we finally meet, we would know each other with no doubt.  I took one last look at the breathtaking scene outside my balcony door and began to get ready for work.

Not far from home, I realized I’d forgotten my coffee on the kitchen table. Since I had time, I pulled into Starbucks, it didn’t look too crowded this morning, and I was grateful, I really needed my fix. There was only one other person in front of me now, he placed his order and walked over to the tables overlooking the courtyard. I placed my order and did the same. Again, I was in awe of the mystery the day seemed to hold, the trees in the courtyard shook in the soft breeze as if trying to tell me a secret. A red cardinal stay perched on a branch seemingly staring at me, as if to say, this is all for you! I was so caught up in the beautiful display of flowers and trees in the courtyard, I didn’t hear them call my name. Luckily the man that had ordered before me, was nice enough to bring mine over to the window. I was totally lost in my thoughts as I admired the day from the window of the cafe. He tapped me on the shoulder as he read the name on the cup out loud. I came out of my trance, thanked him, and headed out the door to continue my journey to work.

I couldn’t seem to really concentrate on work today. I kept feeling like something was about to happen, I felt as if this beautiful day was orchestrated just for me! I considered myself to be a weirdo, unique, I’ve given myself the name weirdique! I caught myself longing for another weirdo, that understood or at least shared my weirdness. As I looked outside the window of my office, smiling at the display of loveliness being offered to me today, I decided to head home a little early. I stopped at the mini-mart on the way home to pick up a few things for dinner. I pulled into a spot and just sat there watching how the clouds floated across the sky and how they looked like the most comfortable pillows I’d ever seen. I imagined what they might feel like..if they felt the way they looked, it would be like a cool fluffy piece of cotton candy. I breathed in deeply one last time before heading into the store.

I gathered the few things on my mental list and stood in line. There was only one gentleman in front of me with only a few items as well. When it was my turn, I greeted the cashier with genuine words, paid for my items, and headed back to my car. The sun was beginning to go down as I watched the giant orange display duck down behind the tree. By the time I lowered my head to watch where I was going, it was too late, we’d bumped smack into each other (him doing the exact same thing, admiring the sneaky sunset), the man who had been in line before me just a moment ago, the same man that handed me my coffee this morning!  Our eyes seem to move in slow motion as they meant each other's gaze...We both smiled and said, “Hello Weirdo!”
