Bang! Bang! "Goodbye, I love you." Mother said silently. Whispering mother told me to get under the floorboards were father made a crawl space yesterday before he got taken. I scurry to my spot. The guards kick the door down and grab mother by the head. I can see through the slight crack of the boards. The day before mother had slipped me a map, she told me to wait three days in the crawl space before following it. I remember making a mental note to avoid the men wearing red scarves around their arm. "Where is she?!" they demanded from my mother. She is I. Mother said, "She left, to the eastern border." Mother had lied, she always told me lying was bad. I badly wanted to cry, but the mother said make no noise until the three days. I had no clue why the three days. I do recall mother and father talking about how they will stop searching after the third day. I looked back between the crack and the men were tearing up our house! ~Three days later~ Its time to follow the map mother gave me. There was a not on the back, which read "You are doing great! I love you. Follow this map, to find a man named John, he will take you someplace better. This is goodbye, just remember I love you. From mom." I held back tears and continued my journey. I walked outside wearing a wig and these weird glasses mommy gave me. There where so many empty houses. Ours was last to get raided. It's so dark I can't see my hand. Mommy, mommy I quietly call in my head. The town is dark. Flick, flick, the street lights where flickering. It told me to go off barley in the trees, and I will find a buggy, with a horse! I found it along with food, and water. There were instructions on driving. I am only 14 I only have driven twice! I'm tired, I want to sleep. I can't stop or someone will spot me in daylight. I whip the horse, very gently and he begins moving. "Hey there, young lady!" I was spotted. He was also riding a buggy. I stopped, he then walked up. "Is that a wig on your head?", he asked snatching it off. He saw my hair color and knew I was a Jew. His eyes grew big. I put my head down and began to cry. He gives the wig back, saying "I have a few children with me riding to the border. I can take you." He offered. "H`-how did you know? I said faintly. sighing he replied, "I knew your father, he told me your plan and I shared it with my neighbors. Now I am taking the poor Jewish kids to the border, and meet John." I climbed out of my buggy and hopped into his. His was about three times the size of mine. There were 5 kids. 4 boys, and one girl, the girl was really young. She had a worn-out teddy bear tightly cuddled in her arms. All the boys where asleep. Staring at me the little girl lied down on her cushion. I did the same. Thump, Thump I woke to the sound of the horse running. "Sorry to wake you, we are on a very bumpy road." The man said. "um...what's your name?" One of the boys asked. "Walter", he replied. Walter is the name of my first ever dog. Thats funny. "Mr.Walter, I am sorry to bother you, but I'm hungry." The small girl sibilated. "What nice manners you have," Walter replied. Then he added, "There is a basket for each of you under the seats. We each grabbed our buckets. Inside contained, a variety of nuts, a banana, some crunchips, knoppers, and a few knock-off to-go meals. All the kids ate the knoppers first. All of which is my favorite German snacks. "Mr.Walter, how long is our trip?" The oldest boy asked. "Two more days" Walter replied. "Do we only get this much food" the small girl questioned. "I suppose I could stop at the gas station and get more goodies in the morrow. The petite girl smiled, then began to color in a coloring book she pulled from under her cushion. Do I have activities under my cushion? Under my cushion, I found a Blonde dolly, which now is banned. I found some play clay and some jacks. The other kids found toys under their cushions. I made a really bad sculpture of my mom. After my sculpture finished drying it was night. I slept with my sculpture. I woke up by Walter saying "Wake up kiddos." We all woke up. As soon as I raised he handed me candy, chips, and a nasty looking sandwich. I asked Walter to sit in the front with him. He said I could. As I climbed up Walter took a look on the map, and realized we took a wrong turn yesterday. "Don't worry kids, it will just be one extra day." He said. He called John, and John said no worries. I talked to Walter for a while. He asked of my family and I told him about how when I was five my mom had a baby boy who died from a virus at two weeks old. He told me that he couldn't have kids. He said taking care of us these last few days has been life-changing. "You need to get to sleep kiddo, tomorrow we have ten hours left till we meet John," Walter said. I climbed back and dozed off like the others. I dreamt about seeing my mom and dad again. I woke up. I climbed back up to see Walter. "Walter, when will I see my parents again?" I quizzed. "Listen, horrible things are happening to people like you, and your parents. That is why you had to hide and leave. I am incredibly sorry to say, but you won't get to see them again." "How far are we?" I said sniffling to hold back tears. "We will be there in a couple minutes." He said. "What happens to me when I get there." I asked. "You will ride in a plane with john, from Bavaria to a place called Oregon. this will take around eleven hours. When you arrive there will be a family to take you to their home." He explained. "Everyone get your belongings we have arrived." Walter stated. We all hopped out. "Get on the plane." Said, John. Before leaving, I said my final goodbyes to Germany, Walter, and most of all my last hope of ever seeing my parents.

Great story, lots of emotion evoked! My only advice would be to split this up a bit, the large clump of text was a bit difficult to read.
