Lilys bad descions

Of course, her best relationship is with her mom, her mom was the only family she has at the moment. Here's a little backstory: Lily and her mom had loads of extended family until one night. Everything was going good, they were having a party with over 100 of their family members. The party was just a regular night until Lily's mom's sister exposed the one secret Lily's mom kept from her daughter. You see, three years ago Chala(Lily's mom) was on a vacation away from lily with her new boyfriend, Lily's father was gone since her birth and Chala has been on and off with boyfriends since then this has gone on for 25 years that's how old Lily is at the moment.

Three years ago on her vacation, Chala was taken back by the surprising visit by Lily's father and she screamed and shut the door. After that, he sent her a text saying: “I would like to see my daughter”. She was so taken back she never told anyone, but somehow Chalas' sister found out and has been blackmailing her ever since, forcing her to pay her money. However, at this party, Chala refused to pay and Her sister revealed her secret to her whole family. Everyone was furious with her except Lily surprisingly.

Three years later Lily was still sticking with her even though they had no one else they still kept going on. A lot has changed for Lily. She now owns Crab Clam, a seafood restaurant. Her mom was so proud of her but an underlying feeling of desertedness from her daughter. Chala was worried that this was because of the secret that was revealed years ago. But what she didn’t know was that she was totally wrong, Lily had wanted to be a restaurant owner since she was a child and she was just obsessing over every detail.

“Hey mom,” Lily said as she walked in at 1 am. 

“Where have you been”, Chala responded with worry in her voice.

“Just finalizing details for the grand opening tomorrow it has to be amazing, '' she replied.

“I am sure it will be now go get some sleep”, Chala responded. And that's what they did.

The next morning was one of the most chaotic days of Lily's life; she was at the restaurant all day while Chala was at home missing her. Lily was stressing about every single little thing her problems were dumb in other people's eyes but in Lily's eyes, they were the biggest deals in the world she was worrying about whether her restaurant was to clique or if the guests wouldn’t like her food. But she just had to sit still and wait.

After a long night of orders and eating, opening night was over and they were booked solid for the next month. The next morning Chala had assumed Lily was going to stay home and watch movies and eat popcorn which was their tradition the day after big events had happened. But to her surprise the following morning Lily bolted out the door on her way to work. Chala was distraught and surprised and she had a new feeling to work with: abandonmishment. 

When Lily came home that night she intended on telling her mother her big news while Chala planned on confronting her daughter this was ought to be a disaster.

“Lily I noticed you didn’t show up for our tradition today,” Chala said in a trying to talk in a calm voice.

“Well sorry that I have a real job where I must be present every day, everything there depends on me, all of it.” lily responded with fierceness in her voice. 

“Lily no need to get upset I just wish you would have told me first so I wouldn’t have been so distraught when you opened and closed the door this morning”, Chala replied trying to calm her down. 

Then Lily snapped back with the words Chala had wished she would never hear “ Mom I was going to tell you that I am moving out you won't have to be distraught anymore my business is booming and I don't need you anymore.”

Those five words haunted Chala for years to come. But at the moment Chala was too shocked to say or do anything and before she knew it Lily was gone. Over the next couple of weeks, Chala resisted the urge to visit Lily at her restaurant. Over those weeks she was completely miserable. 

Lily however convinced herself that she didn’t miss her mom but of course this was not true. But this feud between them went on for 3 years. They did not speak, Lily ran her restaurant and Chala mourned her time without Lily. Chala started to recover from the loss of Lily until one day they ran into each other at the grocery store then everything came back to them and they both realized how bad their relationship had gotten.

Lily has gotten very deep into her career of being a restaurant owner and has destroyed many of her relationships like she did with her and her mom's relationship. She has thrown herself into her work for the past 5 years. The first two years was how her relationship with her mom was ruined. Lily kept pulling away until she thought she didn't need her mom anymore, it was the biggest regret of her life but she will learn that later in the future.

In 20 years Lily founded out her husband and cheated on her and she realized that she made a mistake all those years ago and that this was a time when she needed her mom but she could not bring herself to pick up the phone and call him.

But one day when she was just struggling she called her mom out of nowhere out of pure hardship. But her mom just declined her call. Lily was so lost now she had lost her mom forever and that's a horrible feeling.
