Notebook, 2031-undated

Collection summary: A notebook created by an unnamed person during the beginning of the Blood War. The notebook contains things such as grocery and library book lists, as well as supplies, personal notes, and drawings.

Only available in electronic format. Notebook sustained some water and fluid damage before it was digitized. A transcription of the item is provided.

Note: Bites coming from bats. Swarming even in the daylight. Neighbor (Fred? can't remember name) said three got him on his walk back from nearby gas station. Rabies???

Fred came to door. Tried to turn handle. Left door unlocked stupid stupid door opened. Fred just stood there. Walked away after an hour when someone else walked by on the street.

NOTE: Marcus pale. Teeth growing. Stupid. Stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid Tried holding him down, taking teeth out with pliers. They just grew back.

NOTE 2: Travel 5 miles w/ Bailey – 2 hoursish. 5 x 3 = 15 = 6 hours to Toquerville. Start at dawn.

NOTE 3: Buried Marcus’ ashes by Pumpkin. Dinosaur plushie w/ him. Have to keep going for Bailey. BAILEY.

This was such a cool take on the prompt. You did an awesome job building suspense and picking up the pace toward the end of the story. It really felt like a racing heart
