Dear Miss Rhiannon Estrada,
It might be odd receiving a letter form a complete stranger, but I ended up with a copy of Tower and the Gate: the Sallow Rose by Lloyd F.P. Lamb that once belonged to you. Your notes were very instighful and done right funny if I do say. It had you address on the inside cover, so I contacted you wanting to ask about book recommendations. I always have trouble finding books I enjoy, it seem like a ten precent chance of me find a book will like and the rest of the time I pick out a book I can’t send. I enjoyed the it and read the rest of the series — and thought maybe you would know more books of that type. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, a fellow reader
Peter Wilkinson
P.S.: Did you ever decide on which side Haroon was truly on by the end, it seemed you kept going back and forth in your notes, I still have no clue.
Dear Peter Wilkinson,
Thank you for writing. I always wonder what happens to the books I give away, Tower and the Gate is one of my favorite series, but I own four copies of the Sallow Rose and needed shelf space. Lloyd F.P Lamb has been on of my favorite writes for years. I am glade you enjoyed it and my notes. In my opinion notes in books give some new kind of charm. I would love to give you some recommendation but I have no clue what kind of book you like besides TatG. Answer me a few questions and I will be able to find some ideas.
- What genre(s) do you prefer
- Is there time period of writing you prefer
- What is one thing that turn you off of a story right off the gate
- Length preference
And no I still can not decide what side Haroon was on it still bugs me. I guess that is a make of good writing there are still questions to answer even years after the series concluded. Which book was you favorite TatG book in the series mine has to be The Lies of the Titan. I have a few more of Lloyd F.P. Lamb’s series you might like: Whisper of Iron, Angel’s Heir, Rogue’s Legacy, and The Creed of the Phoenix. Just some more of his fantasy work.
Sincerely,
Rhiannon Estrada
Dear Rhiannon Estrada,
Thank you for replying to my letter and for you question on book preference: I like all genres, no time period just no Shakespeare please bad high school memories, I can not stand annoying characters in real life or fiction, and I don’t care about length. I like make my think and are still, that keep my attention. Sorry if my answers aren’t very helpful I am just never been good at picking books, I most of the time just look at the cover and the summery, that get me nowhere. My favorite book in the series has to be The Bloodless Citadel. I’ll have to try to find those other series at the book store. Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Peter Wilkinson

Rhiannon Estrada
P.S. Can I call Peter or Pete
You can call me Rhianna
Dear Rhianna,
I enjoy writing to you as well, yes you can call me Pete. I am a baker, I write poetry and draw in my free time, I have no pets, but I do have three young kids (one girl [5] and two boys [3 and 1]) I take care of, I can not stand mushrooms, and pies for eating but cakes for decorating.
It is truly beautiful here, small town island, everyone knows everyone here close, knit community, rolling hills, wildflowers everywhere, clear skies, beautiful beaches, and amazing weather year round. I grew up here and lived here my whole life. We have a reading and writing club that I am a part of. It is too beautiful for words. If you want to know about it, come here yourself. I would love to host you here.
Sincerely,
Pete
P.S. What is your favorite color? Do you have any kids of your own? Vanilla or chocolate? Favorite animal? What is your book about?
P.P.S. Do you know any good kids books?
Dear Pete,
A baker that must be existing. I would love to read a poem from you and see something you drew. I disagree with your opinion on mushrooms I guess it is an acquired taste.
It sounds beautiful. I wish I could go but I have my business and I am taking care of a few little ones myself, my nieces (Ciara three, Lowri seven, Julie ten) and nephews (Philip five, Garfield sixteen). Plus I am wheelchair bound, making long distance trips difficult alone. So I do not know if I will be able to go ever. But not now for sure with the kids at their age, they need stability and routine.
My favorite color is blue. Chocolate. Llamas are my favorite. My book is about two lovers with the world pulling them apart. I know a few, Hummingbird Bay by Joyce O'Doherty, Home is by Lauren Mayer, The Princess Detective series by Abbie Cortez, and At the Creek series by Caleb Mccullough. I am not sure if that helps new reader are more challenging then experienced readers.
What are your kids names if you don not mind??? What is the reading and writing club like?
Sincerely,
Rhianna
Dear Rhianna,
Thank you, Tara loves Hummingbird Bay and is enjoying The Princess Detective books. She brought them to the last meeting of our club to talk about. Our club work like this: you read or write something and share it with the group with out spoiling the plot if it is a story. Opinions, what was learn, and why others should read it. The group loves arguing about book everyone has read.
I am sorry you are unable to come I would like the meet you. My kids are the bio kids of my late friends, Tara is the girl, Craig is the three year old, and Hugo is the one year old. I have been telling everyone about you. Maybe there is something we can work out to get you here everyone would love to meet you.
Sincerely,
Pete
Dear Miss Rhianna,
This is Bella Jarvis a friend of Pete. Please come to Littron. I have know Peter for years he is a very selfless person, he does not talk much. But during the past few months of you two writing he has not stopped talking about you. He is always putting others first and asks for nothing in return. I will personally take care of your littles, pay for everything, get you anything you need please, come. For Pete.
Lots of Love,
Bella Jarvis
P.S. this is not an offer
Dear Miss Rhiannon Estrada,
I am a friend of Peter. The man has help me out of the worst of times aka when was close to drink my self to death. He is head over heels for you I know because I am a romance expert. I have called every single couple on this island and how each one will end. Give him a chance come visit him. I will help any way I can.
From,
Niall Juarez
Dear Miss Estrade,
I am sorry for the letter from some of the my friends. We all just want to help Peter. I gave a long speech to the RWC to stop flooding your mail demanding you come and or reading the letter between you and Peter. Sorry again. We would all like to meet you one day but please take your time.
Sincerely,
Flora Kathleen Lynn Whitney
Dear RWC,
I am Garfield Estrade. Rhiannon is my Aunt and my legal guardian.
The littles are my uncles brother's. They lost their parents ten months ago in an accident. Me and my little half sister are my mom. She lost custody of us six years ago because she fell in with a bad crowd and went to jail and our fathers were never in the picture. Rhianna is amazing. Writing to Peter has made her the happiest she has been for along time. And she really wants to go but she won’t leave us here. She is in love with him I think.
But I think I can convince her that I have stepped up and can help with the little while on the boat (She can not fly). Julie (my sister) is helping two. The two of us just want to see our Aunt happy. We will drop hints the best we can without cluing her in.
Do same with Peter if you can. I will send an up date when I can.
Sincerely,
Garfield Estrade
Dear RWC,
I am a friend and business partner of Rhiannon. Garfield filled me in with what has been going on. So I am helped. I told her that the kids need to get away from the city and see some real nature. I told the littles to drew small island as a art change. Any other ideas send them the more help the better.
Sincerely,
Mason Raphael Castro
Dear Pete,
With the school year coming an end and Garfield stepping up more. I am going to come to Littron with the kids I can’t wait. We will be on the next boat.
Love Rhianna
Dear Mason,
Me and the kids are staying. They love the island and say they don’t want to leave. And I know what you, the kids, and RWC did haha. Me and Peter were open with each other and are seeing where it goes. I will finish my book. Take care of the store for me please.
Love Rhianna
