Everyone has secrets, but I'm not everyone. People always have something to hide whether it the widow that owns the book shop down the road, people think she killed her husband, or maybe the neighbor cheated on his wife. I don't have anything to hide because I live for the truth, but I don't just go around telling people everything if they want to know the truth they will come to me. Now you wouldn't be surprised on how my people hate me for what I do, they tell me stuff like "You ruined my life!" or "This is all because of you!" and I'd have to tell them that it's not my fault it's theirs. People want to ruin me and my life but they can not because I do not have anything they can use against me my truths beat their lies, but their lies can beat my truth. This town believes that everyone has secrets even me so people take this advantage and adds a lie and just like that they have a rumor.
Rumors. A rumor is a circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth. Now supposedly I'm too suspicious and I know things only that person know and the only way someone would know that is that I used some sort of witchcraft; WITCHCRAFT I use so sort of it. My town is more civilized than others we don't just go around believing what anyone says because it could be a lie, which it is, and then they'd be killing an innocent person and we are not hooligans. This is besides the point, someone accused me of being a witch this is absurd how dare they accuse me of being a witch. I'm almost certain it was one of the people who were affected by my power of truth but it seems a little immature to accuse someone of being a witch after they were ASKED to expose you for lying, you're the one who lied not me.
At the crack of dawn, an investigator arrived at my house to check for any signs that I am a user of witchcraft. They didn't find anything so everyone started to come around to get used to the fact that I'm not a witch and that it was a rumor. Later that day I went out to the market to get some shopping done; fruits, vegetables, some meats and the last thing I needed to get a knife since I needed to cut the meat for tonight's supper. When I entered the blacksmith's store he was just going on break and just my luck he had his son help me find what I'm looking for. On the contrary, I'm considered a fine young woman in my town I'm young and quite attractive if I do say so myself yet most men find me as a bit of an oddball, but the blacksmiths' son is different he didn't find me odd at all which made me happy.
The blacksmiths' son name is Erin and he is a tall figure with a slightly built physique, he's about my age I'd say he's a little older than me though, he had ashy brown hair with eyes that seems cold but are a beautiful gray-blue it's like a light fog above the ocean and the waves crash against the rocks and you have an urge to dive in even though it's dangerous it will be worth it.
The next day I decided to do some garden work and while I started to pat down the fertilizer I heard a familiar voice. I look up to see Erin looking right back at me his eyes still hit me with their beauty. I started to feel my ears get warm so I looked back down at my work and tried my best to control my inappropriate behavior. He asked me if I need any help which has me thinking what answer to give him without being too hasty. I politely answer with a yes that sounded firm but not too firm.
We are about 30 minutes to our work and I am enjoying his company and his help he knows his way around a garden, for the son of a blacksmith, which is nice because I was hoping I would have to try and help him every single second he gets confused. He starts to talk about his family and how his mother left after his father caught her cheating with one of the farmers when he said that I suddenly felt guilty and hoped that I wasn't the cause of his burden. I would hate for me to ruin the life of someone I have become fond of.
As we are talking he asks me about my plans for later in the evening and of course, I don't have anything so I tell him that I'm free for the evening and as curious as I am I ask why and he tells me that his family is having a big supper tonight and if I'd like to come over. I can't even describe how happy and excited I was that e has already invited me over for supper goodness my heart was racing which seems absurd to get this excited over a man but for some reason this seemed like an exception. I accept his invitation.
Dinner seemed tense his father was intimidating at first but seemed to have a very happy go lucky personality which made the dinner easy and took a big weight off of my shoulders. His father was taller than Erin with the same hair but blue eyes so I must assume that his eyes come from his mother, I wonder if his mothers yes are cold unlike Erin's, his father has a real gift in the kitchen so many spices which bring the whole meal together. They had 2 maids that helped around the house and in the kitchen as well but didn't seem at all sad the usually maids are treated horribly but not these they were....happy.
At the end of the night, I thanked everyone for the wonderful meal and headed home. The next morning I went to the market to get more flower seed and everyone seemed to give me an unpleasant look which gave me chills. I walked up to a clerk at the flower market and asked of she new why everyone was looking at me oddly she quietly replied with " Everyone is talking about you and the blacksmith they're saying you and him are a little 'more than friends'."
"WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD THINK THAT. WHO WOULD EVEN SAY THA-" I run across the market and right where I hoped in front of the blacksmith son. I interrupt his greeting and slap him and with every bone in my body, I try to keep my feeling inside but fail miserably and storm off and try to ignore any looks and try to clear my head hoping I'm dreaming. Grapevine is a type of communication that spreads rapidly much like the rumor that is ruining my relationship with the blacksmiths' son.
