Bedtime Inspirational Kids

Once upon a time, in an old town of Pennington, lived a young aspiring write named Kate. After years of toiling away on her manuscript, she finally worked up the nerve to enter a writing contest. The deadline was only 23 hours away, and doubt had taken a firm grip on her fragile confidence.

It was 9:04 PM, Kate was already half asleep but determined to enter the contest, she made herself stay awake. Pushing her harry potter glasses up her nose, Kate stared at the blank page, anger and frustration prickling her skin, "What am I even supposed to write about? I...I just don't know if I can do this," she muttered to herself, biting her tongue.

Kate got up and sighed. She walked to her window sill, and opened her curtains. She stared out the window, hoping to find some sort of idea to write about.

Suddenly, she notices a small, talking gnome in a purple hat slowly climbing up her window.

"You've got this!" the gnome said cheerfully, smiling.

Kate blinked in disbelief. "Um...who are you?"

"I'm Tyra, your helpful writing assistant gnome! I've come to help you find your voice, " Tyra declared proudly, giving a thumbs up.

Kate was still taken aback by the sight of a talking gnome, but she was so desperate for a helpful writing assistant, that she couldn't think of a reason to not let her in. With a mix of skepticism and hope, she called Tyra to come inside.

As Tyra hopped off the window sill and walked into Kate's room, she couldn't help but notice the whimsical aura that surrounded the gnome. Her purple hat was like a witch's hat, adorned with shimmering stars and her tiny shoes make a soft tinkling sound as she moved. Everything about her made her seem like a highly creative being.

"Alright, Tyra," Kate began cautiously. "Please help me find my voice. I can't think of anything to write about."

Tyra clapped her hands together excitedly. "Firstly, we need to unlock your imagination, Kate. You are struggling through writer's block, you already have great ideas, you just don't realize it. Let's embark on a journey through your memories."

Kate was confused. She furrowed her brow, not entirely sure how her memories could help her with her writing. But she decided to trust Tyra and closed her eyes, allowing her mind to wander back into time.

Suddenly, they were both transported to Kate's childhood home, with it's cozy living room and shelves full of books. A younger Kate say on a purple armchair, completely distracted in a story. Tyra pointed at her, a glimmer of mischief in her eyes.

"Do you happen to remember how happy you felt when you were reading that story, Kate?" Tyra asked.

Kate nodded, "Of course how could I forget." The memory flooded her with warmth and inspiration.

"Good!" Tyra exclaimed. "Now let's travel forward in time, to a moment that shaped who you are today."

Just like before, they were instantly transported to Kate's high school graduation. The familiar sounds of applause filled the air as she accepted an award for her outstanding creative writing. Kate couldn't contain her surprise.

"Oh my god! Tyra, how did you know about this moment?" she asked, dumbfounded.

Tyra winked. "There is a little bit of magic at play here, Kate. Your past successes hold the key to unlocking your present potential."

As the journey through her memories continued, Kate revisited moments of triumph and moments of doubt. With each memory, her confidence grew, and her doubts started to fade away.

Finally, they arrived back in Kate's room, and she opened her eyes to find herself standing next to Tyra.

"Thank you, Tyra," Kate said sincerely. "I never realized how much my past experiences shaped who I am as a write. I feel confident and motivated to write my entry now."

Tyra beamed, her purple hat glowing, Kate sat down at her desk, her fingers hovering over the keyboard. And then, she began to write.

She stayed up throughout the night as the words poured out of Kate, each sentence carrying the essence of her journey through memories. By the time the sun started to rise, she had completed her entry. Exhausted but proud, she was filled with a newfound sense of confidence, she submitted her story to the contest. Weeks later, Kate received an email that changed everything. She had won the writing contest! Her story had captivated the judges, and they praised her for the depth of emotion and unique perspective she brought to her writing.

Kate couldn't believe it. She had doubted herself so much before Tyra came into her life, but now, she knew that her voice mattered.
