Inspirational Holiday Fiction

As the new year began, Sarah made a list of resolutions for herself. She was determined to make the most of the year ahead and set goals for herself that would help her grow and improve.

Exercise more regularly: Sarah had always struggled to stick to an exercise routine, but she knew that taking care of her physical health was important for her overall well-being. She decided to make a plan to go to the gym at least three times a week and take up a new outdoor activity, like hiking or running, on the weekends. To help herself stay on track, Sarah enlisted the help of a friend to be her workout buddy and made a plan to meet up at the gym a few times a week. As the weeks went on, Sarah found that she was starting to see progress in her fitness level and overall health.

Save money: Sarah had a habit of overspending and wanted to work on being more financially responsible. She set a budget for herself and made a plan to save a certain amount of money each month. To help herself save more money, Sarah cut back on unnecessary expenses and started shopping around for the best deals on groceries and other household items. As the months went on, Sarah was happy to see that her hard work was paying off and she was making progress towards her financial goals.

Learn a new skill: Sarah was always looking for ways to challenge herself and grow personally. She decided to learn a new skill, such as a language or a musical instrument, to keep her mind sharp and engaged. Sarah chose to learn a new language and signed up for a class at a local language school. She also made a plan to practice every day and found that setting aside dedicated time to practice helped her make consistent progress. As the weeks went on, Sarah found that she was making good progress in her language learning and was excited to continue improving.

Volunteer: Sarah wanted to give back to her community and make a positive impact in the world. She researched local organizations and signed up to volunteer at least once a month. Sarah found a variety of causes that interested her, from animal welfare to environmental conservation to helping those in need. She reached out to the organizations and made a plan to volunteer at least once a month. As the weeks went on, Sarah found that volunteering was a rewarding and fulfilling experience and was proud to be making a difference in her community.

Spend quality time with loved ones: Sarah realized that she had been neglecting her relationships in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. She made a conscious effort to set aside time each week to spend with her friends and family, whether it was a dinner out or a game night at home. Sarah made a list of the people who were most important to her and thought about how she could spend quality time with each of them. She made a calendar and scheduled specific times for each of her catch-ups and found that having a plan in place helped her make the most of her time with her loved ones. As the weeks went on, Sarah found that she was feeling more connected and fulfilled in her relationships.

Sarah sat down at her kitchen table with a pen and paper, determined to make the most of the new year. She knew that setting goals for herself was essential to personal growth and development, and she was ready to take on the challenge.

"Okay, let's see," Sarah said as she looked at her blank paper. "I want to get in better shape, save money, learn something new, give back to my community, and spend quality time with my loved ones."

She grabbed her pen and began to jot down her resolutions. "Exercise more regularly, save money, learn a new skill, volunteer, and spend quality time with loved ones," she said out loud as she wrote.

Sarah smiled to herself, feeling proud of the goals she had set for herself. She knew that achieving them wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to work hard and make the most of the year ahead.

Wow, this girl was determined to give it her best. A lot smarter than some I know. You have a good story. My plan for the new year is getting more of my work published and learning how to write better, but my first one was putting my Lord first and living closer to Him. Keep up the good work.
