It is never an easy thing to say for some.
For others, it rolls off the tongue much too easily.
Too rehearsed like the word
”Um”.
A filler phrase in the sentence filled with a lifetime of regrets.
Yours.
Mine.
Ours.
Taking the ownership that is due,
One or the other.
Who will make first move?
Who will make the first move matter?
In the long run.
In the short run even.
Who will make the next move better?
Who will make the next move worse?
The circles and cycles continue.
The banging the head on the wall.
Slamming doors.
Smiles of recognition.
My mistake.
Your mistakes.
Hen stuff happen, tough happens.
Is the hanging on habit or heart break?
Coming to terms with the way we were raised is some of the most important work we do.
Carrying it with us through life can be work we never bargained for.
The work load becomes so heavy.
So heavy.
Disruptive too.
When instinct repeatedly tells us to let it go.
And we can’t.
It is not that we won’t.
It is usually that it becomes so etched.
In our consciences and sub ones too🤯
Near impossible to shake off.
How can we possibly exercise the right, our right to not accept the wrong.
Tough stuff.
Tough. Stuff.
Impossibly Incalculable.
Resentment is the number one offender.(lk)
Without hope, there is no peace.
Without peace, there is no hope.
How does one act gratuitously when we are so lent up or pent up?
Anger, too is a number one offender.
And there is so much of it around and so little time to remedy the costs and the hurts and the tears and anger bursts.
Let the guard down, once and for all. When it comes right down to it, there is no real satisfaction in “sticking it to another”.
None.
The condition of good. Includes to bear witness. We do not have to administer God’s justice. He does it fine all by Himself. There is nothing to compensate for His mercy. All he asks of us is to work on, work hard on improving our human condition. Not simply a good deed here or there, although that is too.
A fundamental condition. Sow a new life around us.(pf). It absolutely can include the old junk😁. But, make it better old junk.🫤
His mercies are new everyday.
Every. Day.
How cool is that!
He provides us with the tools to heal the poison of resentment.
He provides us with the tools to diffuse anger.
He provides us with the antidote to fight off contaminants.
He is the oxygen that purifies the air.(pf)
What more do we need?
Well.
Ourselves. To carry on the good word and the good works.
Forgive failure. In ourselves. In others. With closeness, compassion and the tender nature of a good heart.(pf) It really is good for the heart. How many times? Seven? Seventy times Seven?
I don’t want too.
Too bad.
You must.
As many as it takes.
Remember. A fundamental condition. Takes time.
Yours.
Mine.
Ours.
Not better or worse. Just different.
Differences are what makes life interesting.
Differences are what makes life challenging.
Knowing the difference becomes the difference😌⚡️.
The difference of success and failure.
What does that look like?
I wish I knew.
Second nature.
Working on that one too.
Where else can you count on unlimited anything much less forgiveness.🙂
What’s the point?
Don’t get stuck on numbers, a specific number.
Hurray. That is my kind of thing.
I am not a maths person anyway.🥹 I get it though, it can cause uncertainty for folks who like numbers precise and pristine. It is security.
Ugh. this is gonna be tough.
It really isn’t.
Enmity is.
Inherent opposition takes its toll.
Enmity and its root enemy are quite a pair.
Too boot, enmity is stronger than antagonism.
How do you like them apples.
I don’t.
Enmity is stronger than antagonism or animosity, which implies competitive feeling but doesn’t go all the way to enemy status.(Cc)
Yuck.
The peace that passes understanding.
Yeah.
Enmity (hate) occurs as the translation of ‘enhanced in Genesis 3:15, “I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between they seed and her seed,” and in “Numbers 35:21,22 (ironic this passage is entitled numbers..)
”or out of enmity one person hits another with their fist so that the other dies, that person is to be put to death;that person is a murderer. The avenger of blood when they meet”
Yuck again.
But no worries.
God has it covered.
There is no place for deep-rooted hatred.
Even if and when you think you need to retaliate.
Don’t.
It is nor worth the price of admission.🙂
Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Timothy 2:25
Now. We are getting somewhere.
Further,
Be a Good Soldier of Jesus Christ.
Sounds good to me.
”No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in civilian affairs, but rather tries to please his commanding officer. Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules.”
Sounds good to me.
So when you feel you are being chained like a criminal.
Reminder:
God’s word is not the chain that holds you back.
You are.
The chain that holds you back.
Avoid godless chatter.
🫵🏻
Their teaching will spread like gangrene.
Yuck.
Sounds awful.
And you know what.
Participating in stupid arguments is, well,
Stupid.
A good soldier should never be quarrelsome, but kind to everyone.
Yes.
Remember that guy, the devil….well he is still around to entrap you in weak, and not so weak moments. Just waiting to take you captive to do his will.
Yuck.
Sounds dreadful.
Not my kind of thing.
Cup of tea,
Way to go,
Way to behave,
Aspire to do,
Conduct my business.
(Hint)
Using three word phrases😄…….
The three hardest words…..
Your call……
The ending to your story is yours.
Own it!
P.S.
LIFE AS IT IS
By Roy J. Bourquin
Divine World Ministries
Eternal Father,
what could have been and isn’t
A little better my life to endure.
Eternal Father,
What is and could have been
So much worse, my life, I’m sure.
Teach me to enjoy the fruits I have
And envy not, nor wish for more,
Because the blessings that I have
Came from above,
from your great store.
What’s in man that makes him strive
To impress all those around?
His promoted worldliness
Is quite useless, I have found.
And so, dear God, just give me peace
And let my senses know,
That what I have is all I need,
For you have made it so.
