The grass isn’t always greener.
It isn’t always easy to focus on the task at hand.
The mind is a vast and mysterious connection of circuits and shorts circuits short changing the end game of the task at hand. The task at end versus the task to come becomes an impossible dream. So. Our thoughts often jump ahead and around the noggin’ in an attempt and with intention of annihaltion in order to beat the winner to the finish line.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. When morality is tossed aside in a heat of a moment and the eyes wander around in frantic darts of shooting daggers, it is anybody’s guess what the outcome will be.
The process can be the punishment. Smugness wrapped and wound very tightly in protecting the lies in the interest of being “outed.” We sit emulating the guy next to us in order to blend in and not be “different” than the guy next to us. Same old, same old. We trust those we should not and pay not enough attention to the ones we should trust. What results is the doubting and darting thomases infiltrate the mind, we become confused, so we hedge and we hedge because the gut has nowhere else to store all the information anymore.
Better out than in.🤢🤮.
At least the release of the blame has occurred, or at least the supposed blame. During all the rigamoro, we forgot to impulse control our moral authority and the rebel in our souls took over.
For better or worse.
And the worse? It was the worst not easily forgotten or forgiven. So the mind goes to fantastical places to make sense of it all. Simultaneously aware and unaware of any mortal who will ever step up to the plate and do the right thing. Maddening sometimes, and ironically thank goodness anger takes over to moderate the extreme lack of judgment.
Otherwise who knows how long it morphs into another this and another delay. Kickbacks occur with a football and subliminal messages of intimidation. As humans, we always think other people’s lives or situations are better than our own. So we either own it, or we do not. We all tend to focus on what we lack, compare ourselves unfavorably to others. (ai)
Dissatisfied with our current circumstances. We perceive others’ “have it all”, suddenly take it upon ourselves to “get it all.” Do whatever it takes to glutton and purge those in our way. Cut the grass too long, cut the grass too short. Either way. We cut ourselves short of remembering we all are wonderful and beautifully made.
“There is mercy with the Savior; there is healing in His blood.” Though the grass may not always be greener where you go with selfishness and disobedience, He promises us something on the other side….The grass is always green, and the soil for God’s love and grace will always be fertile where God leads us.” (Ai)
Why do we fight Him?
Weakness, lack of focus, fraud, impostering, all those weaknesses we think we can use to outsmart Him. We bust out, we retreat, all as plan of attacks as to how to get around the go around. We foolishly believe we know it all.
We know very little.
He knows a lot and thank God He has the patience of a Saint.
There is much to be said about this current gigs economy. The length of the time of the honeymoon can last anywhere from one week to a few years, depending upon the dumpers and the dumpee. It is a bust-a-move dance or two, that is for sure. Comparison take on whole new meaning, the biological clocks start ticking, the grandfather clause kicks in and the rest is anybody’s guess as to who will win in the end.
We all have felt as those we have made wrong choices from time to time. When we fail to own the one-time or series of choices is when we wander outside ourselves and wish to be gone from our inner core of beliefs.
Logical thinking takes a back seat and temptation is the seatbelt of restraint holding the impulse like a bear hug. Catch a bigger fish? Cannot even rein or rope it in? Forgot, to check yourself before you wreck yourself and others? The line goes dead.
Focus. Even if and when the daydreaming seems all encompassing and enticing. A beautiful getaway from the fact we cannot alone bear to live with the snowball effect of our own intention and motivation.
Sitting alone in a retreat of the moment or in a class of bozo-like clowns, we wish to be both a part of the circus and as far away from it as possible.
Plan of attack?
Get back to your old self and practice the gratitude of knowing what He knows. You are good, always have been good, sidelined from the unforgiven and piles on attempts of burial. In the first place, He teaches us to check our expectations with the reality of current times, the currency of the moments.
Imperfections will not likely ever be perfected, even in the wandering eye of the wannabe daydream kings and queens. They, too, really do put on pants one leg at a time. Everyone, every human, engages in mundane tasks of the day. We should be aware of another person’s personhood and limit the verbal slings and arrows from spewing their direction.
Why?
Because it hurts.
Today, social interaction has taken on whole new meaning and the clouds cloud our better judgement of how to treat one another. We sneakily “hide” behind our unkind words and our own images of what we think perfection should be…. We become our worst selves in regard to our fellow man and pretend we “didn’t do it” or pretend “I didn’t see it”, or “I wasn’t even there.”
What the future holds and how this imbalance may change, is within the palm of our hands. The bigger question becomes,
”What will we do about it.?
