Drama Inspirational

Amanda decided to divorce her spouse. It just was not working no matter what they did. This began taking a toll on her in every facet of her life. Nothing seemed to make her happy when she began this new lane in life. She then began to do things differently than when she was in her marriage. Amanda knew she had to change almost everything. She changed routines to shake up her once monotonous life. She changed where she grabbed her morning coffee. She changed her route to her job. She changed where she shopped for groceries. She changed her hair style. One thing after another Amanda changed. With a last ditch effort, she decided to change her workout routine and even what and where she went. Sadly, no matter what she changed, Amanda still felt empty. This emptiness was not due to a failed marriage, she knew but she began to think perhaps she failed in life altogether. Day in and day out she stuck with her new routine. Yet nothing filled the void she had in her life. Amanda would look into the mirror every morning thinking to herself she’s not good enough. Her marriage failed no matter what she tried to do to save it. Amanda then decided to put all she had into exercise. It seemed to be the only place with her classes that she didn’t think about herself as a failure. Working out made her sweat. Working out relieves her stress. It made her feel worthy. It made her feel like she’s accomplished something. Her class became the highlight of her day. Yet the void would return as soon as she went home. Amanda tried putting her finger on the trigger for this void feeling. The same pattern of viewing herself in the mirror thinking she’s simply not good enough. Then she began seeing a man in her class looking at her and at times it was like he saw a ghost. No, that’s not it, she decided. This man looks at her like he’s in love but Amanda knows that look isn’t meant for her. He’d try to not stare so intensely but then those looks of immense love from him would surface again. Then like magic, the two began a conversation. Finally Amanda finds out that she looks eerily like his girlfriend. This man, Seth, tells her that his girlfriend lives four hours away so they can’t see each other much. Alec confesses that he really wishes his girlfriend, Claire, would move back to Charlotte as this is where they both lived when they met. Ah! This makes sense now! Their chance meeting turned into exchanging numbers and coffee dates. Alec tells Amanda that they deeply in love and have goals for their shared future . Amanda asked to see pics of Amy. Damn! She’s beautiful! She’s stunning! She’s absolutely gorgeous with a beautiful body, too! And he thinks I look like her, she ponders. This light hearted banter morphed into occasional texts and this turned Amanda’s feeling of emptiness around. Now when she peers into the mirror, she sees a beautiful, gorgeous, sexy woman. This man’s input happened to be something akin to divine timing.

Amanda then began looking forward to her classes during the week. She began to see herself as beautiful, stunning and a head turner. Alec would share more pics of Claire when the two spoke. He was more than happy to share Claire’s boudoir pictures. Alec beamed with pride showing these pics. Amanda sees Claire is not just beautiful but as Alec says about her, a goddess. Amanda makes it a point to meet her when she visits. To think she looks so much like this goddess made her joyous, ecstatic and mostly more self assured. What a turn of events this has been! Alec is quite handsome and a very gracious gentleman. Claire is a very lucky woman indeed, but after Alec talks about her, Amanda begins to think that it’s Alec who is the lucky one. He simply glows when he speaks of her. And when he showed her boudoir pictures, Amanda knew that he has a picture of her on his desk at work and one on his nightstand, just to know Alec sees this simply amazing woman in her only made her swell inside. Amanda continued with this workout class but this chance meeting certainly filled that void within her. Oh yes, Amanda decides to make meeting and befriending Claire a priority. Obviously Amanda can learn from her. Amanda finally begins sleeping better at night now.

Not long after Amanda feels worthy, Alec tells her that Claire is coming to visit and will be with him for a week, maybe a bit more. He then begins to work out a time for the two to meet. Amanda suggests Alec give her Claire’s cell phone number so the two can get to know each other this way. Alec agrees but says he must check with Claire first. He’ll ask Claire later but at the moment, the pair are having coffee after their class. They don’t make small talk. They speak about things that have substance. Alec always brings Claire into their conversations, how she is miraculous in getting what she wants. How persistent Claire is with building her strength. How amazing Claire is with the books she writes. Alec let his love for Claire show immensely. Amanda minded his worship of the woman he loves. Amanda just really wants to meet her. Why not,  Amanda pondered. If Claire looks so damn much like me, she thinks, and she showed her confidence in the boudoir pictures, then certainly Amanda can do the same! So, yes, the meeting was set.

Claire. She’s so confident, beautiful, intelligent and has an amazing lover. Amanda  is sure Claire and her will be great friends. Then the meeting is confirmed when Alec gets an affirmative reply from Claire. Apparently Claire is keen to meet her twin or perhaps it’s more of a soul level like Alex says. This idea of creating whatever she wants, intrigued Amanda. Shucks, Alec told Amanda what Claire has done for him with his career. Yes, the void is filled. Now it’s time to meet this gorgeous, confident woman so they can be friends. Amanda is confident that they'll all be great friends and she can't wait. What an amazing turn of events this has been!
