The Wind in the Willows

“Just start writing. We will help you,” I hear. I have yet to fully come to terms with my gifts. Clairaudience, in short, is the ability to hear something inaudible. It is quite an experience. I still get startled when I hear someone who isn’t there. I have always been able to perceive upcoming pregnancies and deaths the easiest. I am now thirty-eight years old and have no idea how many people I have told them that they are pregnant.
My first experience with the other side was at the ripe young age of five. One night I had a dream about my grandfather appearing on my TV screen in my room. At least, I think it was a dream. I remember the TV being staticky and seeing his face. I heard him tell me that everything was going to be ok. The next day, I learned my grandfather had passed away. My parents thought me too young to attend a funeral. Little did they know I’d come to be fully engulfed with the mysteries surrounding death and the afterlife.
Another example is when I was a bit older, I had dreamed of being with my co-workers and we were packing to move to a giant white house in another city. While driving to the new location, we made a pit stop at a funeral. My great-grandfather’s funeral. The next day at work, I was on-call and managing phone calls while my co-workers were packing up inventory to prepare for a renovation and reorganization. During my shift, I received a phone call from my then-husband letting me know that my great-grandfather had passed away and my stepmom had been trying to reach me. My workplace was in Henderson, KY. His funeral was held in a giant white funeral home located in Lexington, KY.
Throughout my school years, my teachers were convinced I’d either be a writer or a journalist when I grew up. I was even a part of Future Problem Solving and Creative Writing on the Academic Team. As a freshman, I had written a play that was entered into my Senior portfolio at the suggestion of my Language Arts teacher. I had entered and won many contests throughout my school career. Granted, my grammar and punctuation were much better back then. It’s been some time since I have been in school. I’ve always enjoyed writing, be it songs, poetry, or short stories. I have dreamed of being an author for so long.
Please note that I started this story at 11:22, I’ll explain more later. Approximately an hour ago, I received a tarot reading online. The message received advised me to reconnect with my Spirit Guides. The tarot reader also mentioned needing to keep my mind open to new possibilities and new ways to utilize my gifts. Following the tarot reading, I IMMEDIATELY saw an ad for a site having writing contests. As I scrolled through the expensive entry fees, I started searching for other options which led me to this site. As I read through the rules and prompts, wouldn’t you know it, I came across a prompt including my favorite tree. I was tossing around ideas in my head of fictional stories about the Willow when I heard a voice. I knew I would receive the guidance I needed.
I have experienced a whirlwind of a Spiritual Awakening over the last two years. This includes my failed metaphysical small business, which was an amazing learning experience. I discovered so much about myself, both good and bad. My business offered metaphysical and spiritual tools and gifts, such as crystals and herbs. During this time, I also learned more about my gifts. The full origin story is a full novel all on its own. I confirmed I was a Psychic Medium, Remote Viewer, Telepathic, Clairvoyant, Clairaudient, Clairsentient, and Spirit Conduit to name a few. Fun fact, U.S. Military Intelligence has used Remote Viewers in various programs and operations including The Stargate Project, and during the Cold War as spies. Remote Viewing is the ability to locate/ identify an object, person or location with the mind. I discovered this gift by accident, mind you. I offered these services to shoppers and online clients.
The earliest memory I have of being drawn to Willow Trees was around eleven years old when my best friend at the time lost her grandmother. Hearing the news, I instantly pictured the large Willow Tree we played under in their yard. Since then, I have had an intense appreciation of the beauty of the tree. I have even had frequent dreams of that beautiful tree.
The kicker here is the spiritual meaning/mythology revolving around the Willow Tree and how it corresponds in such a beautiful way to my reality. This tree is often associated with death/grieving which is just further validation of my connection to the deceased. In many cultures, the Willow is symbolic of strength during the hardest of times as it indicates a rebirth or new beginnings. Out with the old, in with the new so to speak. The tree is often found in graveyards due to the belief it will ward off evil spirits. Willows are considered a sacred tree, particularly in witchcraft due to their affiliation with the movement of water and cycles of the moon. Some cultures use the Willow in purification rituals as it is known for its medicinal healing properties. Priestesses of the Triple Moon Goddess, Hecate, would use Willow Water in their magic. It was only tonight that I discovered the connection between the Willow and Hecate. The name of my failed small business was Hecate’s Garden. Weird, right? I even took a screenshot of the information as if I needed a reminder of the wonders of the Universe. This screenshot was captured on 5/3/24 at 12:10 am.
As you’ve noticed, I have documented the date and time twice in this story. I use the numbers used in the time to search angel number meanings to help guide and validate my thoughts and actions when needed. I started writing this story at 11:22. Angel number 1122 means manifestation, spiritual alignment, elevation, confidence, and encouraging you to trust your intuition to guide you to new possibilities. Do you remember that “new possibilities” bit from my tarot reading mentioned earlier? I experience these types of events multiple times a day now. About the screenshot I took at 12:10 am, angel number 1210 signifies a partnership, collaboration, new beginnings, leadership, independence, and attainment. Tell me that’s not a direct message!
Tonight, I have a better understanding of my connection and admiration of the Willow Tree in a much deeper and more intimate way. This story has been more beneficial to me and my spiritual journey than I could have imagined. The validation was provided verbatim by the tarot reading, spiritual definitions, and angel numbers. My main goal in life, other than teaching, is to write a novel. I dream of helping others who may have had similar experiences.
The wind in the willow was carrying the whispers of the unseen, guiding me to fulfill my dreams and possibly my purpose.

To my family and friends, many of you are aware of many of the experiences I have had but may be unaware of the above-mentioned events. I hope I haven't offended anyone as I understand the sensitive nature of my story. I love you all!
