First and foremost, I would like to thank GOD for giving me this opportunity to express how I feel, it was never an easy journey but I managed with his grace Remember "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous actually who are you not be? We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us and as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same"
Who am I?
I'm Christian, a student of Mankwe Tvet College, Doing Transport and logistics. I pass my matric with Bachelor and I'm grateful for that living in Bethanie I always ask myself "How would I like to experience my life?" rather than "How would the society wants me to run my life?" This is my story, an exact reflection of how I want my life needs to be without any FILTER.
I was raised by my aunt who has been taking care of me and my 21 year old cousin who is also an orphan. I myself was orphaned at the age of 5 years old, when my mother passed away. Having my aunt as a sole provider has not been surviving through has not being easy.
We have been surviving through social grants and lately my aunt’s pension fund. My background encourages me to study focused and strive hard to reach my goals.I am not from a rich nor poor family but I haven't went to bed with an empty stomach, my aunt is someone I will cherish for life I wouldn't trade her for any amount.
I would describe myself as goal orientated self-determined and accountable
Goal Orientated - I constantly set firm goals for myself and I always make sure that I take necessary steps to achieve my goals.
Self-determined - I’m always determined to be the best in everything that I do. I take failure as another stepping stone to greatness
Accountable – I always take responsibility for my own actions when things don’t go accordingly. I don’t blame others but instead I work on my mistakes and do things better next time
My friends would describe me as a very selfless and optimistic person who is always open to new ideas. I am one person who believes that everything and anything can be done despite the circumstances. I believe that what my friends most like about me I am a go-getter and I believe that nothing can stop me from doing what I set my mind to.
I constantly challenge myself to think in an unconventional way, I’m very creative and also a great leader. When I walk in a room my present is felt as I am a unique young lady.
My greater passion is qualify as a SOFTWARE SPECIALIST making a remarkable positive impact in South Africa. I love helping and working with people in need and sharing the little that I have with them, this also makes me feel good about myself knowing that the next person is struggling less because of my efforts.
My major strength are resilience and good communication skills (including speaking in public). I am a good listener and make learning my priority, accuracy is one of my strong points and my last motivation is the root on which I grow my stream.
My major weakness is tie management, which is a challenge due to the greatest pressure that I experience as a grade12 learner. To overcome this, I have recently started to organize my study week into the various subjects and assignments \test requirement’s that I have.
My mission is to complete my SOFTWARE SPECIALIST degree in record time, secondly to complete my 3 years. I am an avid reader as I see it not online to improve my literacy skills, but also to expand my knowledge base and to help me even become a better communicator.
The defining movement of my life besides losing my parents was failing my 8th grade. However being resilient helped me not to give up. I had to stand tall and do what I am good at. I have learnt that failure is another stepping motivates me to do my best.
I plan these according to priority (earliest deadline and requiring most of efforts from me) and have learnt to be realistic about time. A short overview of myself is as follows:
Academically I have always been a hard worker while I was in high school I was involved in program called “junior achievement’ which is a business simulative initiative with the main aim of teaching learners how to operate their own business.
In the next 10 years I want to see South Africa being a country with a thriving economy.
I want to see a country where corruption and nepotism are non-existent where women can walk freely without being scared of being kidnaped or harassed. I dream of South Africa where women are leaders and are also afforded decision-making roles in big companies. I hope for a South Africa with a high quality and accessible education system above all, I dream of a country that is united.
Now I'm Pregnant with a baby girl she's the reason why I decided to be an author because I'm trying to make a living out of it for my kid not to suffer.
I told my self no matter what I will never give up I will keep on trying by all means so that at the end I can look after my little one.
“In life you had to test bitter things, that’s when you can learn how to appreciate sweet things, sometimes good things come after hard times, never give up one day God will make a way when it seems there’s no way”
"Never give up in life or loose hope in life, keep on fighting and going forward do not use things like poverty, pregnancy or being an orphan as an excuse of you fighting for your achievements in life"
Don't you ask your self how I became an Orphan?
