Navaha the Nit was so not a female stripper. She often laughed at herself, thinking in general her life was a ripper. She woke up daily in the early hours, celebrating an awakening dawn, a blessing at her age. She realized now she could not solve all the intellectual issues,of her planet's future, but kept on praying for solutions.
Navaha sat, reclusive, a lone wolf in her zone, scribbling her ideas, formulating concepts, hoping to flow her prayers to the teeming metropolis of billions of champions and wannabes who were part of humanity.
But, strangely, one day as she was posting gifts at her local post office, she nearly met a smiling charmer, a toff of a man she had barely met, a blast from her past. He did provide her with several chances, but shyly, Navaha the Nit always turned away. She really did never know what to say to such a fellow. He was the reason many people were thanking him to this very day, a counselor who was highly regarded in his profession, years of such proficient expertise and sage wisdom. Plus, the fact he was so attractive did not go astray, all the chicks gave him a second glance.
Navaha the Nit was eternally his fan, even if she was grey and cuddly, realistically a bit old to be a groupie for any ageing male. She had a quiet giggle, trying to visualize such contact. Maybe he had a case of the boomer humor, but she did not lose her head.
"Don't panic!" our central characters told themselves, when Kindly Bear, the hero of the youth, turned up one day. Navaha the Nit agreed to go fishing with him into the dawn, by a calm riverside. They fished for trout, caught perhaps some redfin, threw back the carp, rustic, peaceful. Gumboots and blue jeans were their couture, as they stood back at his car, sipping welcome coffee in sight of the majestic power of the mountain range.
The hills rolled away seemingly forever blue, as the rising sun drew back the veil of the darkest night, chasing shadows around the globe. There, Navaha the Nit gazed in awe at a beautiful golden eagle, solitary, floating and soaring above the towering peaks. The eagle flew far above the madding crowd of Navaha the Nit and Kindly Bear.
Inspired, Navaha the Nit arrived home and kept writing, seeking to spread a message of hope from behind her thick spectacles. Kindly Bear promoted her words to the world, they were friends and companions in Christ. These placid, ageing Christian warriors called it their "Peace Project", founded on simple ways for humanity to unite to follow the Lord.
Navaha the Nit did wonder if Kindly Bear was rolling round laughing, she did appreciate a man with a sense of humor, as shy gals do. Practically, they were both only two specks of souls circling the planet, infinitely tiny in the scales of the universe, holding the eternal hand of God. The magnificent golden eagle had been one, Navaha was one individual, Jesus was the One.
Kindly Bear's love and attention meant that he and Navaha the Nit became two mere vessels of divine love, it gave them both happy brains. Navaha kept the prayers still flowing , she realized she and humanity were all only here as mere mortals for a little while, she was aiming to make some difference to her world.
She and Kindly Bear united their goals to publish prayers for freedom from hunger, freedom from armies and bombs, freedom from slavery and exploitation, freedom from discrimination, freedom for humans to believe what they like, freedom for the environment and all the species on the globe. A whole world circling as a rock around the sun, what a trip! Navaha the Nit believed and spread the word, no little woman or man needed repression or thought control.
Kindly Bear told her he felt the same as all those years ago. They became channels of their own kind of unilateral love in their golden age, or did they? Navaha the Nit firmly believed he could pull any bird in the land, he was that kind of stud material. "Don't panic, turn any negatives into positives." Some people gave them both curry, but spam was only that.
The Word kept spreading, a healing hand across all lands. Maybe all dreams for each human do come true, one lifetime or another. Kindly Bear was never one for showing off, and neither was Navaha the Nit. Really, as survivors and seniors, they were both going so well. This pair of individuals had gifts that were always for the gifting, fostering the greater glory of their Lord.
The golden eagle was a portent, a sign in nature sent from the almighty, His eternal power and a glorious creation. In later generations, the "Peace Project" became regarded as the "Parousia Project". No one could ever predict how any story would end, in this ongoing work in progress for the teeming nature of humanity, each soul blessed with grace from afar.
All the generations of the past, present and future, were there to protect, as the faithful companions in Christ gathered to contemplate. It is never too late to say, "Let's pray..." Navaha the Nit did scribe, "Keep our prayers and devotions flowing for now and forever." Then she added with a smile, "What does Jesus want? Peace! When does He want it? Right now!" Yes, she had become a fisher of souls.
The golden eagle still soared above, gazing mightily at such mere humans. Kindly Bear persisted, he was a loyal fellow. He and Navaha the Nit enjoyed their amiable contacts, neither of them had anything to complain about. Their love worked for both of them, and always shall, from one lifetime to another, from one soul to another.
Navaha the Nit was definitely the biggest fan Kindly Bear ever had in his personal endeavors. She hoped he would forever care about her, the way she felt about him. That dream had come true. As she prayed for the Peace Project, she prayed he would allow her to express her gratitude somehow. Let's face it, at their age, they were never really planning to grow up. They both loved their golden moments, being only here for such tiny moments in time. Love does flow, and so do prayers, across the generations of true love. But, overall, the ultimate cost for all species had been Armageddon. Navaha the Nit did wake up some eon in another evolution in the vast universe, still preaching to the choir.

What does Jesus want? PEACE. When does He want it? Right now. Universal truth.
