Make up your mind!

"Uh" I said, sweating from my forehead to my palms. "Ugh, come one make up your mind, Soccer or Tennis" Jayla said giving me a glare. I took a deep breath, and pointed to Tennis. "okay. Great!" she continues. I wrote my name on the paper that was pinned to the wall with a thumbtack. Jayla was smart. She had a sense of fashion. She knew how to put a random outfit together. She always had her hair down and straight. I never knew a time she curled it, anyways she had denim jeans with a long bright red stripe on the side.

A couple hours later....

When I was at home, I decided to play some sports. I ran outside, and did some basketball. Then I thought of other sports. So I threw my basketball and grabbed a volleyball. Then I started balancing it on my head. I can pick one that I like. Never mind. No more basketball and volleyball. Maybe I should play some baseball.

Then I saw Jayla. "Hey Genna, what's wrong?" she said grabbing the basketball and bouncing it. "I can't figure out what sport to stick with!" I said folding my arms. "I just can't stick with it," I continued. "It's okay, Maybe you should pick the one you're good at," She said, making a shot. " Your right. I think I am good at soccer" I said, giving Jayla a big thank you hug.

2 hours…..

I finally made my decision, but I still like other sports. UGH. What do I do? I was in class and I raised my hand. “Excuse me Miss.Swan, Can I go to the bathroom?” I said being very polite. “Yes you may Genna” Ms.Sean said writing on the board. 

I ran into the bathroom, trying not to act suspicious. I quickly went into the bathroom and shut the door. I texted my friend to tell her to come to the bathroom. "Hey what's up" She said closing the door. "I still want to do it all, but I just can't stick with it, '' I said, huffing and puffing. No comment. She just looked at me for a very long time, gave me a smirk, and left. I looked very confused. She just left me. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!

I left the bathroom, and as I was in the hallway I saw on the board that I made the team. "YEEEEESSSSS" I yelled jumping up and down with my hands in the air.

I went back to class, and Jayla gave me a wink. I wonder what that means. I just ignored her. I sat in my seat, and payed attention.

5 hours later....

I walked out the bus, an walked home. "Hey" Jayla said running toward me, out of breath. "Hi?" I said, I just kept walking. "Sooo, maybe we could have a sleepover" She said. I nodded. "We could have popcorn, and I could bring my school clothes, and stuff" She continues. I nodded again. "Are you even listening to me?" She said shacking me rapidly. "Oh-uh yeah, sleepover, and popcorn" I said being distracted about the whole sport thing. "Okay look, you need to make up your mind about the whole sports situation" She said, unwrapping a candy bar. "I know I know, Its just so much to choose from. I keep doing hobbys, but I dont know which one I like" I said shrugging my shoulders. "Your okay, I am your friend we stick together" She said giving me a hug.

The next day....

I was at school in my class, Writing. I know writing is not really in the school catogories, but we did something different. The pricpal thought it would be good to have a writing class "It really isn't too hard to come up with a plot for a story. There are ideas everywhere you look. As Michael Banks explains ideas are "free...and easy." He says, "Just about anything we see, hear, read, or experience can spark an idea."

The main events that make up short stories and novels are called the plot. It would be difficult to have an interesting story about characters that are just standing around. There has to be something to motivate them, some problem for them to solve or some obstacle for them to overcome. Many authors argue that great stories and novels are character driven. Alex Keegan has an interesting perspective on this in his plotting writing. He uses an analogy where he is the general and his character Jack is the platoon leader.

If you have some great characters that you are fond of but you are having trouble thinking of an adventure or situation to put them than a plot generator might help. Plot generators will randomly generate many plot ideas for you. You can use them by modifying them to make them unique so the plot can work with your characters. A plot generator may also help you to start thinking creatively again" Said Mr. Chapman" he does talk a lot. I looked at him, and started writing. Mr. Chapman came over to me. "wow you are a very good writer Genna" He said. "Thanks" I said. Maybe writing should be my new hobby. lol. Maybe. "You know Stories bring facts to life, make the abstract concrete and, through meaning making, walk the listener through the mind of the scientist or mathematician (Ellis, 2005) to understand the value and application of such concepts. Wells (1986) argued that storytelling is a fundamental means of meaning making, so if you want to be a writer, go ahead. You will be great" She said padding me on my back. "Thanks again" I said. Then the bell rang.

Next period is math. "Okay every, yesterday Kally asked why do we use letters in algebra, well letters are used to replace some of the numbers where a numerical expression would be too complicated, or where you want to generalize rather than use specific numbers. They can also be used when you know the values in part of the equation, but others are unknown and you need to work them out" Mr. Smith said. He also talks to much. I really like writing. Writing is so calming, and it doesn't require MATH. I love writing. That is NEW hobby.
