Horror Teens & Young Adult Romance

It all began with my father, who was a photographer. He always told me when he was younger he would always steal his father's camera and would start going out and secretly taking pictures of whatever inspired him. But now, my dad was a photographer he loved it. He would spend time traveling around the world and taking fantastic pictures of the views. However, my mom was extremely different from my father. She always wanted money and fame that was all she wanted. My family and I weren't as rich, but I still had everything I needed, I got a good education, I had food to eat, and I even had a roof over my head it was everything I needed, but clearly my mom thought it wasn't enough she wanted a mansion, with a pool, and she would always want luxury clothing brands that we could never afford.

One morning, I decided to head down for breakfast, as I entered the kitchen I was about to witness the 100th argument this week. My mom and dad would always argue, as my spoilt, ungrateful mother decided to buy a $100 neck cream. "Sweetheart you know we can't afford this, we have bills to pay, you can't go out and be using my card or stealing money from my wallet to buy you all this luxury stuff, you could have just asked darling..!" my father said as he tried grabbing the neck cream.

My mother slapped my dad's hand and began ranting about how she has to take care of her neck and how if she doesn't take care of her neck it will begin growing pimples. "Oh my goodness, Mom just stop acting like a baby for once, and stop spending so much money, you heard him we have bills to pay, we are barely. scraping by!" I said as I tossed a book at her.

She luckily dodged in time before giving me a death stare. "YOU COULD HAVE GIVEN ME A SCRATCH ON MY PERFECT BEAUTIFUL FACE IF I HADN'T DODGED!" Mom said aggressively and began stomping on the floor.

I quickly left the kitchen and decided not to eat breakfast. I always adored my father's photos that he took when he traveled, and yes I know when I said we were barely scraping by, I meant it, my dad would just travel by using the savings he had, he hid it from my mom so she wouldn't spend it, as he wanted to fulfill his dream in becoming a popular photographer known for his excellent skills. When I went upstairs, I saw my dad's camera, I always wanted to see his amazing photos, so as I was looking at the photos he had taken, I came in shock. My father had a photo of some woman. Who was she? Was Dad cheating on mom? So many questions flew into my head, I wasn't even sure anymore at this point who my father was. Yes, I know my mom may have a baby sometimes but she was still my mom and I still loved her. I ran back downstairs to the kitchen and dragged Dad out. "Dad, what's this woman doing in your photos? Are you cheating on Mom because if you are I swear to god, I will beat you up" I said as I gritted my teeth.

"Sweetheart you know I love your mom, but this is a long story so take a seat." my dad said, as I took a seat.

"So when I was back in high school, my father and I were very poor, we had no food to eat, we would always have to steal food from the streets, we had no choice, we didn't wanna do it, but if we didn't do that then who knows where we would end up. But after some time there was one day when everything changed it all began when I stole some hotdogs, I accidentally bumped into a rich fellow, and I ruined his suit, there was mustard on his suit, and ketchup on his tie. I apologized to the gentleman, but he ordered that I pay up, and obviously, at that time I couldn't pay $1000 for some suit. I barely had $100 myself. I kept begging for his forgiveness but then I heard a voice. It was coming from that woman that you saw in the photo, she had changed my life. She chucked loads of money to the gentleman, and then he scurried off. The girl I shall say we were the same age, but she was way wealthier than me, she owned houses all over the country, as her father owned many 5-star hotels around the world. I began walking with her, she introduced herself as Charlotte, and we soon became good friends. I told her about my situation about how we were barely scraping past, and how we had to steal food, just to survive. I thought Charlotte, would think I'm some sort of criminal, but she understood my situation, and she talked with her father, and her father offered my father a job. Boy, that was the best thing that had happened to my life. I could stop stealing for once, and get real meals every day. Charlotte was like an angel falling from heaven, she was an angel. She saved me from living in poverty." my father said as he gave me a lopsided grin.

"So, basically, she gave your father a job, and you had money?" I asked as I grabbed the camera and began scanning the photo

"Hah yes, she was some sort of angel, she was like Wonder Woman! I wish your mother was more influenced by her, I love her very much it's just that she needs to know we don't have loads of money, and we have missing bills to pay, but I could never stand up to her, I'm afraid I might lose her." my dad said as he stopped grinning.

I turned around and was surprised to see my mom standing by the door. "Oh sweetheart, you could have just said! I know I might act like a brat, but deep down I love you and our wonderful daughter, I'll act better, and I'll act more attentive towards you guys I promise" my mom said as she hugged us and smiled.

I looked at my dad who was smiling and we all hugged for at least 1 minute and 47 seconds straight.
