Contemporary Happy Inspirational

It was an usual day Sarah had. No surprises, no great expectations, no excitement. Dull, boring and unproductive day. She knew she had to do something to move from the state of being captive to her own emotions that were killing her to state being happy for her emotions that would change the way she views everything. That feeling you have when everything is in the place but somehow something is missing. She is sometimes pessimistic and very doleful. As though she is trying to say something but somewhat remains silent.

Suddenly, the memory flowed through her mind. The memory she often sees in her dreams and remembers in real life. It was pouring rain that day. The forgotten umbrella was her the most unchangeable mistake because this day was the day when she found out that world was not her oyster, but somehow it can be. She went out to get comic books from the corner shop in her neighborhood. It was not raining when she was leaving the house. However when she was in the middle of her aim and her house, it started to rain heavily. She immediately went under a roof of some small building near the corner. She was thinking about how to get to the shop. It was dark outside, even though she knew the rule not to leave the house at night, she ventured forth for her target. The rain did not stop and when she finally decided to move, she felt a hand on her shoulder. The horror went throughout her body. She never felt this before. She was trembling with fear. She thought if it was the robber then she would give all of her money to him. She was afraid this might be a murderer. Who knows? She thought that she didn’t see his face, that he would let her go.However, that was only her guess. Obviously, she wanted to escape, but her body was numb as though it was frozen and blood stopped circulating. Now it was impossible to run away. No running, no person at sight, no sign of life. Shouting was impossible when a hand prevented her speech. She instantly fell unconscious.

The scent of antiseptics, the cluster of noises murmuring in distance, and blurry vision of the white ceiling made things clear where she was.

“Darling, are you OK?” her mother’s voice was heard in distance.

“Mom, what happened? How?” she was unable to speak properly. She was still befuddled.

“Thank God, you are fine, I was so…” she could not even finish her sentence when she started to weep.

“Mom, I am begging you tell me what happened” she now was even more baffled.

At home in bed, the only thing she thought about was how desperately she wanted to get out on that day. Stubbornness, cockiness and self-esteem was too high. She knew that outside when dark is a precarious place. However, she had thought she would be back in five to ten minutes. She wanted to get her target. She is a very goal-oriented person. If she wants to do something she thinks that other way was not her option, no giving up was her “motto”. It is not just about comic books. It is about everything. Sometimes one has to admit that there are times everything is not perfect. It is now all rainbows and castles in the air.

She now remembered, everything, every little detail of that day. She prayed. She only prayed. She prayed there was somebody to help. She prayed that the person behind her back would go without hurting her. She prayed incessantly that some miracle would happen and God would help. When she fell unconscious, the man from the building where she was standing under went out to fire cigarette. That man who helped Sarah, was actually trying to quit smoking and was wearing nicotine addiction patch. However, somehow he wanted to smoke and went out that day. There he saw the man holding the mouth of the little girl. The robber, as it turned out to be, run away at the sight of the helper. The saint man instantly called the ambulance. It was a miracle to be this close to something pernicious and get out so easily.

‘’Sarah, dear, come up! Dinner is ready! Come quickly, otherwise everything will be gone.” her mother’s voice was mellow and sweet. She was overprotective of her now.

“Okay mom, I will be up in a minute. Wait for me guys!” she said with a wide beam on her face.

The world seems quite spectacular for her now. It is full of life and unpredictable things. As she was enjoying the view out on her porch, she realized that life is worth living without any particular principles. “Present is much more important” she had this idea ever since she realized the importance of acknowledging the present as a gift. While planning the future plays an important role in one’s life, one should not forget the present.

After remembering that incident and trauma she had, she felt uneasy. She felt guilty. She felt something. She felt that she forgot something. Sarah was grateful for everyone and everything. Had it not been for the man who went out that day, she wouldn’t be spending days in this wonderful place with her close ones. She wanted to thank everyone. For that to happen she had to remember and re-experience everything. That event was etched in her mind even though she persistently wanted to forget. She realized that the world can not always be her oyster, but if she prays and tries hard enough it can be. Sarah now knew that God helped her.

“Thank you God” she said with happy and relieved face. Sarahis now thankful. She now can escape her nightmare that happened on that day. She now knows that the past is not haunting her. She now wants to help to and get out of her traumatic incident. She now wants to be more grateful.
