The Nighthowler

Present

In a graveyard perched on the edge by the church lives the unknown. The unknown was named , ‘The NIGHTHOWLER.’ 

The Nighthowler was vast. His aged face had dark - deep eyes and bushy furrowed brows . His eyes were like the midnight blanket across the sky , powerful and profound. His razor teeth are covered in soil and russet wood . His eyes are not seen neither his mucronate teeth , but is covered in an overgrown mass of dun and lanceolate leaves . The branches are sharp shards of glass extending to the right then to the left. Growing upwards then down into the roots of the earth. This irrepressible jungle can not be stopped for it is existent. 

His howls scream beneath the concealed jungle. His stria’s bend with rage. Inside him a deep burden is concealed . Inside his heart crys. He knows who you are. He knows what you have done. He knows this can’t be the end for him and the world....

Past

Dominic and his best friend were working in the potion lab.  Angelio (Dominic’s best friend) had blue eyes and brown curly hair. However Dominic had brown curly hair and Hazel eyes . They looked simalar almost like twins. Dominic had come up with a genius plan . His plan was to make a  elixir  which would be drained into the soil to grow more trees instantly around the world as well as fresh waste bins which would automatically clear themselves when there full. Unfortunately, Dominic ’s best friend ( Angelio) did not like his idea. Angelio wanted to create a toxin that would wipe out all trees for good , so that he could come up with a potion that would let humans breath with out trees. Angelio loved his idea , but was mostly interested in the money he would make. 

The gentlemen had a big argument about whose idea was better and decided to walk sepreate ways home. Dominic decided to go to vist his mum by the church. When Dominic arrived he spoke as he knelt by his mum’s slab . He told her that he felt remorse for starting a major conflict with Angelio when he was at work and that he would make her proud someday. 

Suddenly , BAMM !  Dominic took a blow to the head and was quickly injected with a changing serum. Dominic took one last look to the side and the culprit  was gone. Dominic blacked out into complete darkness. Only to wake up the next day as a tree.

Present

Till this very day Dominic remmbered that dreaful incident . He remmbered it very vividly and hopes that one day someone would help him. It has been 20 years since the incident had happen . 20 years being trapped inside the coarse exterior of the tree (The Unkown). It has been 20 years of no one knowing who he is . He was not a tree but now is a man  who has always wanted to do good to the world.  Little did he know that this very bright beautiful summer day someone would come to liberate him.

Past

Angelio ran for his life as a cold calm  flowing river flowed down his face. His river of tears were emotionless. He felt numb inside . His eyes smiled , but his face stayed stationary . He walked home on the cold gritty ground . Angelio’s surroundings were iced with icy forsty freezing flakes . Evrey step he made in the brittle blanket of snow would crush the silence and the still night . He paused. Then  Angelio cleched his frosty fists and gave a laugh which sounded more like a cry. 

He laughed all the way home not knowing that a slithering shadow lurked in the blackout of the night . She saw evreything . She knows his evrey move and will bring justice for Dominic one day. Her name was Arci.

Present

Arci  was busy helping Angelio process his evil plan by loading his special super toxin into a serum gun and tying up bags of air . Arci  however was trying to figure out a way to get into the special serum room. She had an idea ! 

Suddenly , BOOM !  A box of toxins and potions fell off the shelf . Exposing their contents all over the floor. Their contents was slippery and slimy showing off  a dark oozy bubbling colour . A big puff of toxin surrounded the room . The stench made it unbreathable.  

Arci  took out her mask from her side pocket and went flying through the doors . She left Angelio without one single look back . She just hoped that her plan would go well.  She speed down the hallway through doors and knocked down a few staff on her way . Finally , she came to a large and long mahogany door . She reached round to the nape of her neck and untied a piece of rope . A key slid slickly off the rope into her dainty hands . She gripped the key tight and took a big breath , while fitting the key into the lock. She twisted the key and ‘click’  the door flew wide open.  Arci locked the door behind her and searched for the serum she was looking for in desperation. Tears flew down her face as she searched . 

Flashback

Before Dominic turned into a tree he proposed to Arci  in private the night before the fight . He promised to meet her the next day after he visited his mum , but he never showed up. Arci , however was very eager to see Dominic that night and couldn’t wait , so she followed him after work to surprise him . 

Unfortunately, she followed him to see only the most heart - breaking and ugliest moment in her life . She saw Angelio poison Dominic with a serum . There was nothing she could do . She couldn’t cry out for help as no one would help her or would believe her accusation against Angelio. Her knees buckled before her and her tears cried out in sadness. She could see that Dominic  was gradually turning in wood , but she saw Angelio run off .  Arci decided to follow Angelio into the darkness  to only see no regret and demonic behaviour. 

Present 

Arci wiped her tears for she had found the serum that she needed .  She  traipsed over to the corner of the room with hesitation, but continued to walk on towards a antiquated dusty box . She  bent down and wiped the lid of the box with the back of her sleeve on her right arm . The label came alive to  her eyes like magic and read ‘Dominic Dela Rosa ‘ . Her frown melted into a smile of relief . She quickly took of the lid to reveal Dominic’s lab belongings as well as his plans for the world . Arci loaded the serum carefully into the serum gun and placed it in the corner of the box .  

She stood up ready to go and heard shouts coming from down the corridor . She looked for a escape in fraught . She saw the window and climbed up the desk and two big boxes just in time to push her self right out the window with the box . 

Past

Angelio got home panicking about what happened . He was pacing up and down his room thinking of what to do . He knew that Dominic’s disappearance could be a big thing .  So he came up with a brilliant evil idea. He would tell everyone that Dominic had moved abroad to work in a different lab . He knew that this genius plan would sound very convincible as he was the CEO of the company and Dominic’s best friend . He was so happy with his plan and now knowing that he would be boss made him feel even more powerful. He laughed and cried into his glass of whiskey.

Present

Arci ran all the way up the hill and carefully ran down the hill . Then she  took a sharp turn to the left  and went down a cold cobbled alley way. Taking a small left and reached a gate made of iron and pulled it open. Her surroundings were not the cars and buildings , but slabs , crosses , statues and fresh green grass. She walked down the smooth stony path in front of her . She walked with a mixture of emotions from sad to an overwhelmed feeling . She could see it the old vast chruch which sat on top of the grassy green hill. She ran like the wind up the hilll.

Dominic  roared with rage as Arci sprinted up the emerald green hill. She was fretting as she reached him , but manage to many stability. She touched him gently on the face and let a dancing river run down her lovely face. Dominic’s branches drooped back to his sides .  He gave out a soft wail .  Arci dropped the box and hugged Dominic tight .  She would have loved to be forever lost in a moment of love , but didn’t have the time as Angelio and his crew would probably be here soon.

She swiftly opened the lid of the box and pulled out the serum gun. Dominic moved his sharp shard branches to his eyes and gave a small whimper. He knew . It was his love.  Arci injected the sharp - edged and stout needle into his his flaky uneven surface. She carefully removed the needle out of his side and stood back . She turned her head around to keep a vigilant eye out for any passers by in the cemetery as well as Angelio’s crew . 

She whipped her head back round to see not a tree , but a young handsome man . Dominic gave her a huge hug as they ran into the daylight.

Past

It has been 19 years since Dominic’s disappearance and 19 years of Angelio recieving praise for his ugly evil work . Angelio was sat in a adequate amber chair. Feet were up on a oak slick smooth desk. His hands were behind his head and stacks of paper filled his desk as well as tubes and bubbles. 

He had admired achievements on his Desk and wall in glass cases which  said , ‘ Angelio Villanueva.’ That’s just what he wanted to see . That he was top and was  soon ready to take on the world with his marvellous (evil) plan.

Present 

A big boiling light poured through the glossy glass . This light lit the whole interior. A small stretchy rug sat in the middle of the room. The room was very aesthetic . The long , sheered , mauve fabrics hanging off railings on top the square , glassed caged windows were sheer. In-between to checkered seafoam and rosy armchairs sat a small round  rimmed table. Resting on top the ash table sat a lava lamp and in the two chair sat Dominic  and Arci.  Laid in front of their eyes was a recipe for Dominic’s big creation. Arci and Dominic got to work immediately. Arci decided to call the back up crew.

Present

In the meantime ....

Papers were flying in the air and fragments of glass were smashing  against a wall. Angelio cried out in frustration. He clenched his fists as he gulped down a strong brindle liquid. It was time for him to put his plan into action . 

Present

After two hours of hard work ,  Arci and Dominic marked there faces with two finger strokes on each cheek with black army paint. They geared up ready to go save the world and slung their guns over there backs . It was time for them to save the world .

First stop was the town square . When they arrived all of the trees were gone or either chopped to bits . Arci and Angelio sad that people  were moving frantic and wild across the streets. They knew that this was just the beginning. 

In the meantime , Angelio has reached the antiquated house at the bottom of the hill. Unfortunately, the exterior was guarded by four of Angelio and Arci’s friends . They called themselves ‘ The PPF (The powerful Perennial Four) .’ You had Jack the smart and funny guy. Quite tall but not to thin , but a bit buff. To the left of Jack you had Tianna. She was very pretty and  quite sprightly. On the right stood Edgar . He was strong , but had weak personality . On the right of Edgar stood Yna. She was great leadership skills and was feisty.

 The team suddenly got into formation ; Yna stepped forward ready to strike. Angelio made a clear request to Yna . His request was to just simply see Dominic and become one with peace . Yna looked  

ballsy . She did not believe every word that just came out of Angelio’s mouth and neither did the team. Apart from Edgar who is a little naive . Edgar thought that Angelio was talking sense , but he wasn’t really .

 Yna striked Angelio very hard in the nose. Angelio retaliated only to miss Yna . Edgar tried to attack Angelio from behind , but Angelio swiftly slid through his legs and went flying through the house . Angelio sealed the door and searched through the house . He could not find Dominic or Arci anywhere. A loud banging noise grew louder from outside . 

Boom! Jack had kicked down the door with a vast kick. They found nothing but a wrecked house . They decided to spilt up to make sure everyone was safe as well as Arci and Dominic . Jack and Yna stayed at the house while Tianna and Edgar went to find Arci and Dominic. 

Meanwhile , Angelio and his minions went to their next stop the high street . They jumped out of the aircraft and loaded the poison into the the soil swiftly and evenly. Once they did they climbed backed into the amazing aircraft as Angelio smiled watching the trees 

disintegrate. He watched people gasp for air frantically and watched people empty their pockets in desperation for air. Bags of air were disrupted with snarky smiles on Angelio’s troops  faces.

Present

Arci and Dominic arrived to see a distraught street . They quickly powered the trees back to life with their serum guns and they  gradually saw people breathing properly and slowly getting back to life as normal.

Arci and Dominic were about to leave when Tianna dropped in front of her . She was so shocked that she slipped a sharp knife out of her sheath . The sheath is strapped around her shin holding two other knifes. Arci through the knife  and BOOM! 

Edgar went flying through a cloud of smoke holding a wooden circled board . He rolled and went flying out just in time to save himself and Tianna from being stabbed by a knife.  Dominic told Arci to not throw as he knew it was Tianna and Edgar. Beads of sweat dripped down Edgar’s head and ash covered his face . Arci was not in a state of shock anymore , but she was twisting her face into a melting frown and her arms were crossed underneath her chest. Tianna laughed and Edgar shifted his feet . 

Dominic told them it was no time to squabble ,  as he said this he pointed to the air. Above their heads an enormous round machine whirred with energy as it’s hands spun round and round . Edgar’s eyes lit up and Tianna squealed. Arci stood firm with her feet planted in the ground . She thought to herself I would rather go save the world in a ‘ Flying Lexus’. Arci was too busy in her thoughts to notice that the crew were already high up in the atmosphere. Suddenly , SPLASH! A cold icy river poured onto Arci. Arci’s faced scrunched up like a crumpled piece of as she clenched her fist high into the air. She turned round to see the rest of the crew high up in the atmosphere. She climbed the wooden ladder with heavy thumps .

Meanwhile in the park , Angelio was busy with his troops getting ready to banish the last of trees . They had been to all the places they needed to be and they were now ready to let nothing stop them from finishing there evil plan. 

Present 

Arci was soaking while covered in a towel and sipping a warm sweet liquid . Her face was still crumpled and she shivered under the slippery droplets of water that slid down her skin. Dominic had full fasted ahead to the park without warning the others. He had a feeling that Angelio was going to be there . He pushed Jack out of the aircraft as the aircraft itself went landing quietly behind a bush . Edgar started to squeal in fear . Arci slapped him hard in the face with annoyance while Tianna sat crossed - legged with her index finger placed on top of her lips . Angelio aimed his gun directly at Jack . Jack stood on the spot with a stunned and shocked body . He finally came back to his senses as he saw that he was surrounded by minions . Jack tried to plead with Angelio to stop his madness. He reached out gently to touch Angelio . Angelio re-lifted his gun ready to shoot. WHOOSH! A dart cut the tension and went slicing through the cold crisp air . DOINK! Angelio passed out and his minions disappeared into the shadows .Tianna stepped out of the shadows with the dart gun in her hand and blew the edge of the gun . It was over . The ‘PPF’ had saved the day . The rest of the team stepped out of the hiding stop. All of them joined hands and skipped into the moonlight . They took one last look back at a new tree and sighed with relief as it disappeared out of view . Jack asked himself , ‘Is it OVER...?’
