In a residential country side in southern Iowa there is a family of 7 who believes that they can live peacefully. There are five children the oldest Ashley, the second Damien, the third Eva, the fourth Addison, and the youngest Jettie. The father Jay pays child support on two of the three children, Ashley and Addison. Ashley lives with her father full time while Addison goes back and forth. Jay should not have to pay child support on Ashley but does and neither one of them ever see the money and gets nothing from her mom, Rebecca. For years now Ashley has prompted her father to go to court and take custody so Rebecca would have to pay child support back to them since she never did anything for Ashley. Jay would bring Ashley's hopes up by letting her believe that he really was going to go to court for her to get custody and stop this outrageous payments for no reason. Jay never went to court because it would be to expensive. Ashley wanted to take action and be an individual again, to stop her mother from controlling her life even when she doesn't live with her. Jay is a very conflict avoiding person any way he can avoid conflict he uses it. The sad part about this family is that multiple of the children have issues with their parents and still no one does anything about it. The second oldest, Damien, has issues with his real mom she favors his sister. Lindsey, Damien's mom, makes him do all the chores in the house and is extremely disrespectful to him while Shading, Damien's little sister does nothing and gets everything she wants. All Damien wants is to live with his uncle, Jay, so he can have a good home life but to do that Lindsey would have to sign over guardianship which she is not willing to do even though she doesn't want him. Once again no one does anything about it. The third oldest, Eva has issues with her dad. He left her as a child and randomly comes back into her life. He is a bad person and never keeps any of her promises and destroys Eva's life by making it a living hell. And yet again she is met with the same problem her other two sibling are met with the horrible world of inaction. Instead of taking custody rights away from him they leave it so they can avoid conflict like they always do. The world of inaction is present in more lives of children than just these three. The world of inaction can hurt children and cause permanent damage, I hope that one day the world of inaction can be destroyed and never hurt another child ever again. Unfortunately hope is strong but not strong enough to permanently destroy the world of inaction. Every day we see more cases of the damage done to all ages of people by inaction. For example adults who are in abusive relationships get blamed for not leaving once again the horrible effects of inaction. Many of us believe that the world of inaction is bad, but there are some people who like the world of inaction because they can get away with whatever they want. I've been in the world of inaction I've explored it through and through. It is not as complicated as it seems. Inaction is bad for us all but it is easy to understand when you put yourself in others shoes you begin to understand why other people feel the way they do about the world of inaction. It started four years ago when they let my step dad go without any charges after he beat me and my mom. I decided to explore the world of inaction so I could understand why. When I entered the world it was a red room with no windows and no doors, for a one minded person there was no way out and as long as you thought one minded then there would never be any windows or doors. As I began to open my mind to different ideas about inaction small windows began to appear, and as I began to open my mind completely to others opinions, doors began to appear. I chose a door to go through and it led me out into the forest. I walked around and wondered how a forest connects to the world of inaction. action is what stops deforestation. As I begun to walk through the forest I started to realize that the forest was not as I expected, at the end of the forest was a man who knelt between farm land and the forest crying because he did not want to tear down the forest and destroy animals homes, but he also had to do what was best for everyone by making food. Once I realized this I was transported back to the red room, the door to the forest was gone. I went to the next door and walked through and saw a young woman with a knife and a notepad she was making a pro and con list. Her brain was in an inaction mindset, she was sick with depression and she wanted to die. Her body and heart were in an action mindset they wanted to live, she fights with herself to keep herself alive and afloat and without seeing it I never would have thought that she was also fighting for and against inaction. I was transported back to the red room and saw the last door, I went through it and saw a butcher knelt in the middle of the shop. I was given the privilege to hear his thoughts, he was upset because not only is he a butcher by inheritance but his whole life before inheriting the butcher shop from his parents he was an animal activist. He was against the abuse of animals, but killing them humanly for food is not cruelty. For an animal activist he fought with inaction every day, because without action there is food to live but with action there is no food to eat and not enough protein for everyone to eat. When I finally understood this I was transported back to the red room so I could leave the world of inaction peacefully.
