The ABANDONED

"Sussy, mother is sorry.She is to blame for all the suffering you're going through.

If I could turn back the hand of time,I will stay with you and listen to you,Honey. Mum is sorry,so sorry.She can never atone for all the pain, suffering and hardship she has cost you,Angel.Am so sorry, sorry!!!",a woman who looks so sick and pale cried painfully.

"Mrs Greens,I called you here to notify you on something concerning your daughter", a Doctor said and there was brief silence, before he continue saying,

"It being eight years now that Miss Sussy has being in coma, we hoped for a miracle, during this time she had become more and more weaker and her brain and nerve cell is failing each day.

Seeing how she is suffering and in pain lying there for eight years is saddening to everyone.We are thinking this time you should please let her rest.This is the best we could think of for her ,to ease her pain and suffering", the Doctor explained slowly and carefully since the discussion is a sensitive one to any parent, especially to a mother.

 "Doctor Gorge,what do you mean by letting her rest. I don't understand" , the woman panicked

"We are thinking you should please allow us to turn off the life machine supporting her",he replied slowly.

 "Huh???,Am I crazy to do that.You are really heartless!!!.How could you think of asking a mother for permission to turn off her own daughter's life machine.Is my daughter a hen that I will let go and die just like that!!!"the woman shrieked in anger and cried the same time.

"Mrs Greens I know this painful for any parent, but you need to....."the doctor wanted to say more but was cut off by the women.

 "Don't you dare console me, Doctor Gorge.My daughter isn't dead and you are not allowed to turn off the life machine. I believe in heaven that the Most High will let her wake up and smile at me again", she said firmly then sighed and walked out of the office.

This was the conversation that took place yesterday at Doctor George's office, the woman recalled painfully and cried more.

She suddenly grabbed her daughter's hand and kissed it,

" You're not going to die, Love.Mum is not going to give up on you.You are a fighter, baby.Mum believe you will wake up and smile at her again,so don't give up Sussy.You can do this", the woman sobed and whispered to her daughter's hand as she continued to kiss it.

"I can't atone for my sin for all the hardship,pain and suffering , I have caused you .Can you even forgive me. Seeing you waking up and smile at me again,is more than enough for me. I dare not ask for more",she cried harder.

Although the woman was wearing a rich sophisticated dress, she looks so sick and stressed,one could tell with one glance that she is in a devastating condition and very sorrowful as she recalled her past on what and how are daughter ended up here .  

   ***Flash back***

"Mummy, today is my song presentation, you promise to be there . I will be waiting for you, please don't be late"a cute adorable elementary kid said

"Of course dearest,once mum is done with today's board meeting,I will surely rush to my daughter's school,so I can get the best seat to get the best view of my daughter's presentation.Don't worry honey, finish your breakfast on time so you don't get late",a beautiful woman replied.

" Okay mum,Sussy promise to do her best performance for you, today"the little girl smiled grinned .

"That my angel,am done with my breakfast,mum will be on her way now.Don't forget to be a good girl"she said and kissed the little gir, before she left the giant dining hall,with her bodyguards following behind.

At presentation hall, kids and their parents were sitted, the principal and some teachers were the judges of the day, everyone all had their seats and happily watched the students who were performing.

"It almost time for you to go on stage to perform,why are you standing there at the door, hurry go in and prepare",a slim who happens to be her teacher instructed.

" Miss Jane, can I wait a little here for my mum,she promise not to be late and even promise to take the front seat to have better view of my song presentation but the whole hall is already crowded and she is not here yet, please can I wait for her a little", the little adorable girl pleaded.

"But there is no......." ,She was cut off by the announcement booming from the speaker"

"The next performance is by Miss Green Sussy.Miss Sussy please come on stage" the voice boomed.

" Look at that,you are already called to go on stage"the teacher said.

" But Ma'am...." the little girl was unable to finish before she was cut off by the teacher.

"Just go up there and do your best,am sure your mum is already on her way here but caught in traffic.I will wait for your mum here" she explained.

" Okay Ma'am" The little girl said obediently and want up to the stage with unhappy expression.

"My name is Green Sussy ,basic Six student. I am here to for Song presentation titled         'What I want in life'

I don't food, don't want jewelries

All I want is a mother

That cares and love me

I don't want bag , don't want riches.

All I want is a mother 

Who will be there for me.

I don't want pretty dresses nor shoes 

All I want is a mother

Who will guide and protect me.

"Wow the little girl sang beautifully.It a shame none of her parent is around to watch her,seems her parents really inspire in singing the song, there were never there for her" a woman among audience said to another.

" This little girl is so brilliant,a young genius.She is always goes for international schools competitions,debates and spelling bees, but none of her parents shows up for her, only her nanny comes with her, look at the nanny sitting over there" the second woman replied.

" Poor little adorable baby" the first woman said in concern.

"Mum didn't come today too,but why did she promise to come , when she is not planning to " the little girl said in sadly.

" Alright stop sucking,young Miss. Your mother must have her own reasons too.

"Am hungry" she cried

 "We are to wait for how ride here,so young Miss please wait here let me get you snacks" the nanny said and left.

The girl who had waited long for the maid suddenly get anxious and started looking for her.

She shouted for her and searched the whole school, but no respond she started to head for the gate,she walked beside the road carelessly.

"Where could nanny had gone to,did she go home without me"the girl wondered.Suddenly a bright light blinded her and she was hit by a car and fell off the bridge .

She was rushed to the hospital by the driver and since she has being in coma." A large and severe part of her brain is being damage,we can only hope for a miracle for her to wake up again",the doctor said.
