Christian Crime Friendship

“amicus menus inimicus inimical mei”

Translation:

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

The mirror.

The reflection.

The truth teller.

We may even argue with its evidence.

When we do not like what we see. When we prefer someone or something different than what is staring right back at us.

We blame everyone else.

But.

Ourselves.

You see. We are much too important in this world. We are much too important and we must keep our obstinance going. Our obsinances of what we think, believe, behave—most of all behave.

Until.

One day.

Bam.

The lights go out. The door slams. A host of so called closures that really just take on another form. We bob and weave and juke and sip around the truth.

We, at times, become our own worst enemy. When we choose to believe everyone and everything about everyone else.

Except the trust in our gut that was right all along.

With the devil now leading our way. The possibilities are endless.

The temptations are everywhere. The propositions, too.

Everywhere.

The small white bag of powder.

The big sugary gulp of red or blue stuff.

The spiffy new apparatus holding the precious vape.

The bigger bag of salt.

The better bag of spicy.

The lotion, potion and notion of buzz.

The hook that keeps us hooked.

It is a minefield out there. This big and beautiful world can be beautiful, a beautiful space. Practice makes perfect—when we practice the truth.

Enter: The devil👺.

The little voice that stands somewhere insidiously on our shoulder causing us to look over it. Look back. Again and again. Take the easy way out at all costs. The devil leads the way.

No comfy couch does the devil provide. He provides only a hell on earth. She, can be an angry, angry being. Floats around like he owns the place. Carries herself like she owns us. Chipping away at our sense of self just enough to leave a pit of doubt in the core of our self-contained gut. Just ask the digesting duck…………

Insidiously chips away at the core of our day. So we end our day thinking he or she is the boss of me. The one in charge. The failures along the way to get to this place are many. Some devils are very good at what they do.

They are very best at letting others take the wrap for them.

Spin City.

Carousel Con.

Liberty Lie.

There are a multitude of ways to skin a cat. Doubt can be the pinnacle of the ways. Self doubt. Reasonable doubt. Today, makes very little difference. Here, we are each other’s jury pool. Jump in head first to the regret pool and with anything other than an open heart? It is assurance the devil is waiting at the bottom for your limp body to float his way. Her way.

Job done. He thinks. And it was sooooooo easy. Job done. She thinks. And.It was soooooo easy.

He thinks, “No real good and honest change can occur for this guy. She thinks—was too far gone.” My work here is done. Lost another and it was so little effort. “

Incorrect. It is actually and factually a lot of effort, for the ones orbiting around waiting with the patience of a saint. For the devil to change ways, course, something.

The worst of his tactics. The devil causes us to become our own worst enemy. Believing. In something out there greater than ourselves is a human trait of redemption. She, yes, works in a myriad of ways. He works it, too. Cuts us down to size.

Reduction.

Reduces us so much that we beg for his mercy. Her mercy. May I introduce you to the devil’s companion—the Digesting Duck.

He, too, believes in only control. Of you. The soul. By whatever means possible.

He crushes the weak souled nemesis. And moves in to the next round, the next argument, the next vice, the next word.

In writing and in life, attribution is the key. The key becomes lost when the devil holds it.

When the devil holds the key. Life stays closed off. Admittance of guilt is strength. Out maneuvering the lie can last a lifetime. Temptation lasts for only a short time. The ramificational lie and the devil hold the key to a whole new life?……Lies guide the truth in ways both unbelieveable and manipulatable.

A lie has speed but the truth has endurance.

Keep the locus and the focus on the order of the day. The thing that makes others move. Is “it” out of my control?

Maybe.

Motivations.

Competence.

Diabolical nature.

All play a factor.

One assumes. One can assume that a person tends to assume that other people are each responsible for their own misfortunes, while blaming external factors for the person’s own misfortunes.(wk)

Enter: The devil and his big bag ‘o tricks. And. Her big batty eyes. The perfectly measured little bags. The sloppily poured cup. The foamy glass. The ripped jeans and well defined muscles.

Whatever it takes to look like everything is all put together.

The frenemies.

The group whose motto is you are either with us or against us.

Exclusion is the termite invasion of the middle. As Mr. Duck has found out.

Ask Ms. Duck, too. Safe to assume they eat bugs, while floating in other’s excrement.

The law of the excluded middle? “States that for every proposition, either this proposition or its negation is true. Mutually exclusive.” The devil takes ups the rent here, too.

The lesser of two evils and the Unholy alliance. There is a space provided by Him. He abhors the alliance which is perception. It is perceived as unnatural, unusual or simply undesirable, sometimes between seemingly antagonistic parties.

Huh?

Translation: Sometimes. We cannot get along and there is a very good reason.

Life is not nor never should fall into the category of

”Business as usual.”

You are you.

I am me.

The devil may have made me “do it”.

In the moment.

The life of redemption awaits those who hold truth in the palm of their hand. In the core. In the grace of their own self doubt. Our identities are never tied to what the devil has in store for us. In the store for us.

The temptations, propositions, adverts and desires. The powder kegs and the powder. The liquids and the greens.

I, do not need a hug. From the devil.

You, do not need a hug. From the devil.

Perhaps. The devil needs a hug.

If you dare.

The wheel of lies, deception, deceit and self-doubt continue. The devil lies deep within the identity of some, the higher, the lower, the middle, the few, the many. He or she may scoff repeatedly at others and the law of nature. Confused. By their own identity.

The law of identity? “Whatever it is.”
