In the year 2024, I went with Sally Padeira, an investigator with the Canadian Spacetime Agency, who led a research team to the Nazca region, tasked with documenting the apparently ancient Pyramid that had puzzled archaeologists and together we uncovered a statue within composed of a rare, meteorite-based alloy known only to a handful of scientists worldwide. She intended to bring back video footage and as much scientific data as possible on this unprecedented find.

The statue stood in the heart of the Pyramid, so to speak, with its strange, powerful composition shimmering from the light of Sally's headlamp. Its striking, otherworldly presence—its humanoid form boasted symbols that seemed both ancient and futuristic, resembled none of the traditional deities we had encountered in historical research. Unlike any meteorite seen on Earth, the statue’s material properties reflected light in uncanny, shifting hues, hinting at advanced metallurgy beyond human reach.

Our team suspected the artifact was cast from molten Prometheum, a material only theorized, known to have other properties at scale and identified within a select few asteroids captured in low Earth orbit. Unusually resistant to conventional analysis, the Prometheum statue’s atomic structure defied categorization, presenting complex configurations akin to self-repairing alloys developed only in the past two decades.

While capturing the footage, Sally’s equipment experienced sporadic malfunctions. Our communications became disrupted, recording strange, unexplainable signals emanating from the statue. As she transmitted preliminary data back to me, she could observe the statue emitting low-frequency pulses, as if transmitting data or energy across spacetime itself.

Back at the Canadian Spacetime Agency, her footage and findings sparked a flurry of speculation. Was it an ancient relic left by a civilization that discovered advanced metallurgy and interstellar travel? Or was it a message from future humans, warning or guiding humanity through an encoded message?

Among Sally’s team, I was the one who specialized in metallurgy, as an armourer, and I hypothesized that the statue may have been an advanced storage device or some kind of time suit. Without an x-ray I couldn’t tell. It appeared to be very old, and may once have been streamlined, whereas now I believed it looked more like an ancient treasure. Sally and I speculated that, if decoded, the statue’s structure could reveal lost knowledge—or even hidden insights from an epoch when future societies mastered the manipulation of time and space. The presence of Prometheum, known for its tachyonic properties, suggested that the statue might be linked to any potential or actual temporal disruption. Sally’s agency had it monitored across the globe. We talked all night and she had strong feelings that it was the latter, future, invention which counterintuitively made the most sense. In other words, Prometheum, of which there was only a few grams on Earth, had been collected from asteroids by a future human team and utilised to send a chronaut back to us. I said, why had it gone to ancient Peru first then, and Sally said perhaps it wanted to do tourism and found something which it had to relate to us in our time and then got stranded. In the end my perspective changed to come around to her point of view, but at first I wanted to stick to the ancient version.

Intrigued and unsettled, Sally proposed an expedition to fully uncover the Pyramid's secrets, despite the potential dangers. To do this, we needed portable 3D x-ray equipment, which we had to disguise as a shipment of red paint in order to thwart the curiosity of the authorities. For her, it represented possibly a glimpse into humanity's ultimate destiny which the superstitious among us had said was being halted by unknown forces, of which the pyramid was a manifestation.

The Canadian Spacetime Agency became aware of the incident as they investigated the trafficking and preservation of ancient artifacts from the Peruvian civilizations, particularly when linked to lost or hidden knowledge. So in 2024, my team, including Sally, uncovered classified reports that the statue was actually part of a broader scheme—a recurring attempt to fabricate artifacts with falsified, historically charged origins to fund illicit operations. The statue served as a physical anchor for a highly specialized technology—one that allowed these forged objects to hold “time imprints.” The imprints were infused with memories or legends meant to resonate with specific eras or cultural contexts. That being said, it resembled the Astronaut, one of the geoglyphs on the Nazca plain in Peru.

Sally, whose expertise included Nazca pre-literate languages, theorized that these fabricated artifacts might actually disrupt historical timelines if they carried significant false information. Our training had included reporting false positives, fabricating evidence, evidence bias and so on. Moreover, the prominence in the landscape of figures like the Astronaut added a complication, as any forgery connected to such a figure could theoretically open fissures in the timeline, allowing fragments of altered reality to emerge, tainting the truth of these eras. Our colleagues in the early twenty first century were aware of truth and reality because of their social media and called it ‘waking up’ to the truth. Personally I preferred to use an alarm clock to wake, being a follower of Nora Gedgaudas and a primal lifestyle enthusiast which is why I became an anthropologist.

As Sally and I reviewed evidence, we traced the spread of similar falsified artifacts to a powerful organization linked with the Nazca Guardian Object. The Nazca Guardian object was the press’s name for the 2.5 centimetre triangles of pure Prometheum which the shell of the Pyramid broke into. I was told that the Pyramid arrived and broke into 8 billion pieces exactly when the human race passed that mark, but at first people said there would be be 9 billion pieces, but that was before we new that the Pyramid was hollow inside, and within that a billion-sized triangular composite space wherein lay a kind of cockpit with the statue of the Astronaut (chronaut ). Cristina Valari, as the head of a covert historical faction within the Eternals, had been tasked with managing these dangerous relics. The Eternals were the people who lived outside time and had begun to communicate by radio signal with out laboratories. They’d used EMF cellular towers, I think that was the correct word, which is why the ‘flakes’ in our society had recommended avoiding getting in the vicinity of them, or rather, the real reason was that, but the flakes didn’t know that at the time. Valari, sensing a moral obligation, revealed that she had been trying to retrieve and neutralize these artifacts to prevent their influence from infiltrating the past. She explained that these objects contained a programmable material that was dangerously sensitive to temporal energy, giving those who possessed them a mysterious leverage over time itself. Thus there were anecdotes in the best neuro-scientific circles which included CEOs of AI companies and the like, that they got lucky if they wore the Prometheum around their necks, and the public picked up on these fabricated manipulated stories and there was a black market in these necklaces as well as sales on e-bay since no one knew there were enough for every man, woman and child on the planet.

With historical evidence reinterpreted and “infected” by these fakes, a new danger unfolded: knowledge held within the Guardian Object—the oldest and most potent Prometheum artifact—began to flicker and display conflicting versions of history, including the Nazca empire, the rule of Hashil 7th, and Peruvian legend mixed with Nazca ritual. The most potent one was in fact from the top of the Pyramid, and no one knew who owned it but it was reputed to be either the richest man in the world or the CEO of a very famous AI company. The effect appeared to stretch across timelines, suggesting that these fabricated artifacts could amplify an alternate history if not suppressed.

The Agency learned that the production of these “statues” was a cover for a time-travel exploitation scheme by a black-market network capable of profiting from and manipulating historical data and artifacts. Valari said this, and she was married to a ‘many worlds’ natural philosopher who skewed her view, whereas others in the scientific community believed there was only one statue, in the Pyramid, which stood on the Nazca lines. In order to preserve authentic history and secure the truth, I planned a mission to travel to 600 BCE Nazca to investigate the roots of these counterfeits and trace any technology used in creating the “Astronaut” imprints.

However, the mission quickly grew complicated when we discovered that the network had indeed exploited a forgotten method to create what they call "Legend Residues"—localized alterations in history that projected counterfeit memories into time. With each altered relic planted in the past, such as the “Astronaut,” the fabric of history weakened, allowing new, false memories of the Nazca Empire to seep into the minds of those in contact with it. These altered histories subtly shifted the course of timelines, endangering the very integrity of history itself. Some called it a mind virus and there were those who tried to alter history without facts, only beliefs and feelings, who were among the most credentialed academics but whose work was retrospectively proved to be false.

Valari faced off with an ancient shadow faction within the Eternals who had sanctioned the use of “Legend Residues” as a form of cultural immortality. As tensions mounted, I realized that the only way to restore true history was to secure the Guardian Object and infuse it with an authentic timeline—a monumental task that would require incredible sacrifices, perhaps even confronting the world's richest man or the major search engine universally in use and getting to its deep mind head.

In the end, I decided to preserve the truth of history in exchange for stability. Meanwhile, Sally located a copy of the Nazca lines linked to Hashil 7th, shedding light on one final truth: the identity of the Astronaut.
