Romance Science Fiction Fiction

Sally had always been looking for someone in her life. Someone who she could hold onto in her arms, who she could depend on, just as much as he could depend on her. But every guy she dated, seemed Self-Interested, Crazy Jealous, Too Young To Be Dating A Girl OF Her Age And Maturity, Lazy, or Distracted. She wasn't sure why she was on that Website Again: "Find Great Lovers Today!" It said. But she's tried it before, just like she tried the whole "my best friend set me up with a guy thing"! And Even Her Mom Tried to get her dating. But none of that worked. It never did, Nothing ever did. She typed in her username and password. Looking4Love_1989@lovemail.com catontable33. Lovemail, was a site, where one could text a message about themself and get a reply back in the form of an e-mail. Or in this case, they send out a Heart and hope for a Lovemail in reply. As soon as she hit enter, to log on in, she was distracted by a Meteor Shooting Across The Sky. As she watched it, she thought she saw a ripple effect, like the one you would see under water at the local lake, when the sun shines through.

"Weird," she says, as she gets right to her typing.

Every single guy there does not catch her eye. Then there was one. The name intriqued her. It was SirScaleRaptor-123. And what he wrote down intriqued her. "I'm new to this whole thing and if no one replies, I might just give up on love all together."

She wrote down, "Hi. I'm Sally! It's short for Sallyandra. And I've been having trouble with love too!" She hits send.

*Ding!* She gets a reply.

"Well hi Sally! My Name is Allesandro Drakrypt. But my friends call me Krypto."

"Krypto?"

"Yeah, my kid sister called Krypto, because she couldn't say my full name and it stuck!"

"Wait! How old are you?! I don't want to be dating a kid again!"

"I can assure you, I am very much an adult. My mom and dad were actually surprised, when Pteresia came into the world."

"So what do you do? If you don't mind me asking?"

"Oh no! I don't mind! I got a job in the city as a Knight for a Local Play/Restauraunt there. Hence the SirScaleRaptor part of my name!"

"And the '123'?"

"My kid Sister wanted me to have that in there."

"Krypto and Pteresia are interesting names."

"How about you? Where do you work?!"

"Oh I work at a Small Town Diner!"

"Oh! What do you serve there?!"

"Burgers, Fries, Beef Stew, Vegetables, Chicken, Eggs, Fish. You name it!"

"Oh I love fish!"

"Me too!"

"I should try it out sometime. Maybe we could eat together and it could be a date!"

"Just so long as you aren't a kid!"

"And you aren't my Grandma!"

"You dated your Grandma?!"

"Well I was about to give up on dating, way before this and my mom set me up on a blind date."

"She set you up with her mother?"

"Well mother-in-claw. It was a pitty date."

Ignoring the obvious typo, Sally put down, "How many have you dated before?"

"Too Many Failures. I even had an Older Brother, who set me up with his Best Friend's Younger Sister."

"It didn't work?"

"It didn't. She was too busy trying to make her Exboyfriend Jealous! And I couldn't be the Tool for another's Revenge Plot!"

Sally couldn't believe her eyes! Had she found a kindred spirit? She so wanted this to be true.

"You had a brother?!"

"He died in The War."

"Oh. I'm sorry to hear that."

"Don't be. He never wanted people to be upset over him. 'Live Life Always. For You Never Know When You Will Meet The Great Unknown' is what he always said to me."

"And your parents? Are they still around?"

"Sadly no. They died long ago. Time waits for no one. So now it's just me and my sister."

"How old is your sister?"

"She's Five, and she loves going to the Park and Playing Videogames."

"What's her Favorite Videogame?"

"T-Rex Rumble."

"I never heard of it."

"It's this Great Fantasy Game, where different T-Rexes have different Magical Powers and they all have to fight to see Who Can Hold The Title Of 'King of the Tyrants'!"

"Sounds Cool. I'll have to Try It."

"How About You? Do you have any Siblings?"

"I'm an Only Child."

"Have you ever wanted a brother, or sister?"

"When I was five, or six."

"What made you change your mind?"

"I babysat my Best Friend's One Year Old Brother And Three Year Old Sister. And Let Me Tell You. They were sick on that day and didn't want to sleep at all that day. Killed my Sibling Wanting Mood That Day."

"Well you'll be glad to know that Pteresia is a Big Girl and won't ever Fight You when to go to Bed."

"That's good to hear."

"Yeah And If we ever got together, you could see her grow up and get to watch her soar!"

"That sounds like a Plan."

"She's always wanted to fly, but she hasn't gotten the chance to."

"Don't Feel Bad. Flying Gets Expensive."

"???"

There's a knock at Sally's Door! Her best friend can be heard saying, "Hey Sally! We're going to the bar tonight!"

She quickly types, "I have to go! Mind if we talk later?!"

"Sure! I'll be here again at Midnight."

"Sounds Good. See you then!"

Allesandro looked at his screen. "Big Brother! Time to go! You promised we'd go to the park!," he heard his sister yell. "Alright! I'm coming." He takes his three clawed fingers away from Electric Eel Swimming Around as he lets it rest turning the screen of Crystallized Glass Off. He stretched out his long Membranous Wings. He gets up, as he ruffles the hairs, though not really hairs on his Crested Head. He looked out the Window, at the Other Flying Houses through the Clouds Down Below. He Sighs A, "Yes!". Today he had found someone he could love. And now he couldn't wait till after they got home from taking the HoverTrainTM and getting Pteresia into Her Sleep Chamber. But One Thing was bothering him.

"What's a Haymboigrr?!"
