Adventure Contemporary Teens & Young Adult

Innocence and Innocent.

Is?

Youth wasted on the young?

“I wasn’t even there.”

Is no excuse.

Youth may be wasted on the young.

It is even worse when wasted.

Period.

And Innocence.

Forget about it?

No.

In exists.

Nowadays.

We simply must look ever harder for it.

Under here.

Under there.

Over here.

Over there.

Or else, it will harshly smack us upside the head. Along with the ringing in ears going on forever.

Forever. Even.

Ouch.

And

More ouch.

In some cultures, innocent until proven guilty is a thing. Well used to be a thing anyway.

Best to know beforehand. Who is writing the big check🥸.

Nowadays—-with the aim, the point and the shoot. Taken to a new level, with a whole new meaning. A whole new avail becomes a thing.

Biblically speaking, John opined, “The key is availability.

I doubt, not in a doubting Thomas kind of way that during a time period much before pen and paper. Simplicity was paramount. We speak of a chipping away (ps) We speak of a chisel and a chipping away of stone. the hard nut to crack. The only goal: Replace the bad to make room for the good, for goodness.

John was not speaking of all things—“Techy”.

And. Along with this, the interpretation of insidiousness takes on a whole new meaning. Whole new meaning. Piece by piece.

Not with the wholeness of a person of humble beginnings who seeks goodness.

After all.

Tricks of the trade are called tricks for a reason.

turning ‘em.

swirling’ ‘em

treatin’ ‘em.

Oftentimes, The most difficult place to look,

Is in the mirror.

We wish to, want to pretend, like a child, that “it” didn’t happen. The rest of our life held hostage to its tentacled intrusion.

NEVER ENDING.

Always there.

Ever present.

Coping takes its toll.

Until one day.

We wake up.

Either via a loud bang.

Or a slow burn.

In the end it makes little difference.

How or through who or whom we got there.

Just. That we did.

Get there.

The process is the punishment. (bs)

Worst of all.

We become our own worst enemy because we did not fight back.

Or.

Couldn’t fight back.

Because we did not know.

That we could fight back.

Helplessness has ways of rendering AND tendering the human condition.

Little did we know we are and have always been

Fully capable. We are and have always been fully capable.

On our very own.

There is something to be said for having the whole pie—-

rather than just a piece of it.

(No. Not. Apple. Cherry. Or Shepherds even.)😎

Humble.

Humble Pie.

Delicious.

When consumed in proper quantities.

The most satisfying of all the pies.🙂

There is beautiful beauty in

Wholeness.

Lest we run circles around the circles and lies we tell ourselves in order to get the job done. Dizzyingly so.

We are so silly.

When we act silly.

We think to ourselves, “I would never…….” Fill in the blank with your never.

In the end. In the interest of protection. In the spirit of protection. Honestly we must ask ourselves. How far would you, are you willing to take your, “never.”

I can’t speak for you.

I can only speak for me.

I know what I think.

Bring it On.

I start my day with a prayer.

Have never been much for the fraternal or sororital games of inclusion. Too much inclusion can cause way too much inclusion…..if you get my drift.

There have been the periods of self-imposed isolation, while trying to make sense of the non-sensical.

Many hours.

Many days.

MANY.

During some moments of trial, tribulation—TOO way too many, too.

The take away.

There are a handful of many, many good folks in the world.

Ya just gotta look.

Just gotta find them.

And grab them like a greedy child when you may find them.

They will be the ones charting your path forward.

(More on this. As we close.)

”Make new friends. Keep the old”

“One is silver. The other GOLD.”

And then live the life you have been meant to by the creator of all creation.

Authentically.

Be the Author of your own existence.

Write your ending story.

Your own way.

The chapters along the way are only meant to

inform.

The rest of the story.

Now. Back to that delicious piece of the pie….

”Wild adventure, mortal danger.

Be thy portion, valiant stranger”

Be steadfast.

In what your think.

And you will never sink.

Below the standards you set for yourself.

In the spirit of not being a “Debbie Downer”

Reality tells us, over and over there really is no

”Happily Ever After”.

There can be the bittersweet, though.

There is magic. There is charm.

One must keep on their toes, and not in a ballerina dancing kind of way. Be wary of the charms, the charming…..

Always be alert. Realistic. In a realistic way. One may suggest logic. One may not.

I dunno. What. Or. How you may think.

We prevail by endurance. We prevail enduring until the very end—whatever that end may be. We do not know what to expect from fortune.

We only know what to expect from ourselves. (wjb)

A castle.

A box.

Playthings.

Puppet Masters.

Exist.

Really.

In reality.

Rattling in a box, wishing to play with the rest of the fraternal and sororital popular, beautiful people, the “in” crowd.

May not be as fun as we bargained for. Hoped for. Exercised for.

Remember the handful?

From before….about “good eggs”. Good peeps, good people.

Grab’em.

Perseverance is essential. An essential quality of this handful of magical persons with character in high-level leadership.

He who hesitates is lost.

Much good that can be achieved without hesitation, faltering, wavering, vacillating, or just not sticking with it.

In bug speak: Perseverance is essential to the watch dog’s and gadfly’s approaches to working for good in the world.😃.🐕

Ad long as I draw breath and am able.

Me and my house will serve who God whispers to us to: “Be kind. Do good. Be better—than yesterday.”

Death.

Wickedness.

Always practice: Never. And. Never.

For youth to never be wasted on our young:

Stand by them.

Stand with them.

Stand behind them.

As coaches.

As cheerleaders.

Most importantly: By and as witnesses of our own behavior. Our own example.

”Do as I say, not as I do”.

No.

”Do as I do. Do as I do.

Yes.

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

Always. Say. Always.
