A Goodbye Ever A Goodbye?

Joshua brushed Samantha dark brown hair away from her face and leaned in to kiss her, he hugged her and wished he could take back all that has happened between them. If only he had told her the truth from the beginning. But then again, he was just trying his luck to impressed this girl, maybe just to keep him company for a few days. He had no idea he had really fallen in love with her. He had no idea, Samantha will find out the truth about him. 

Samantha however on the other hand, wished she did not find out the truth. Why did Joshua hide the truth from her? How many other secret does he has? Is he ever going to tell her the truth? Can she handle the truth anyway?

Questions after questions clouding her, she has no idea what she could do after this. Part of her feels like breaking. She blames herself for allowing this to happened. If only she did not meet him. 

Samantha stares at Joshua, his gorgeous muscular body with dark brown hair and light brown eyes. Tears started to formed in her eyes. They have so many sweet moments together. One she wished she does not need to forget about ever. But it’s such a pain having to know he is after all not who he said he is. 

Staring at this stranger in front of her, she realised she knows nothing about him, accept for his real name and where he really came from which she now knows. How could she sleep with him without knowing him? 

Samantha could remember their first moments together. She was visiting a friend, just as she was leaving the apartment and into an elevator she bumped into Joshua. A cheerful girl like her, she simply flashed a smile to him, unknowingly this had caught his interests towards her. 

It was very late that night, she was walking towards the bus stop and Joshua coincidentally drove his car passed and decided to offer her a ride. 

Samantha was a little shocked, but she did not want to walk all the way to the bus stop, she knows getting into strangers car is the craziest thing to do. But what could he possibly do to her? Pushing away all her negative thoughts, she climbed in the car, and he started to chat with her. He sounded nervous at first. He told her he had never offered a lady a ride, this was his first time, and he wished to know more about her. 

Samantha decided to give Joshua a chance to take her out on a date the next day. 

Everything played out just like from the movie, first the meet up, now the date. She was wearing her short red dress, they went to a nearby restaurant and had steak with wine. He gave her an expensive gift, and wished to see her again, invited her over to his apartment. 

Somehow she agreed, curious herself to know more about him. Maybe she can have a glimpse of his family photos or something about him. But unbelievably, the moment they arrived in his little apartment, they make out in the dark and things went so fast, she had her first night with him. She had never imagined herself in this situation. She thought maybe this is a one night thing. He would probably never call her again, because of her inexperienced. 

But instead he invited her to travel with him. They had great moments together. She could not believe that he is like a Prince Charming, as if she is living in fairy tales. Joshua would buy her anything at all she wished and they would dine in any restaurant she wished as well.  But sadly one day when Joshua went to the bathroom, she started to notice strange text messages from a lady, in language she does not understand, except for all the love emojis.

She decided to checked on Joshua’s phone number and realised he was not registered as Joshua. It was not his name. He does not even sound close to who he said he was. 

But right after she realised this intriguing fact, she stills refused to accept the truth. She came up with excused, maybe he is using his friends phone. Maybe this number does not belongs to him. She did not confronted him.

She had depended on him and she did not want this relationship to end. Joshua has never mistreated her. He had showed her love no one has ever done. He is the most gentleman man she had ever know. A character right from a book. A Prince Charming. 

Until a day, Joshua told her he had to leave, the company he is working for wants him to return to his country immediately. Everything was vague and happens too suddenly, and he did not even meet her to explained, but just a text and he is off. There was no news from him for several months. As if he just disappeared. Samantha was devastated, she felt so stupid having to pour her heart to a stranger. She should have know he is probably here to spend his holidays, there was no family pictures in his apartment, it’s an empty apartment, his suitcase were just there. How could she not seen this? She’s just a lady he found  easy to catch. 

Just as she was picking up herself, Joshua texted her, with lots of reason, explaining everything and he wants to make up with her. Then he just showed up at her house with lots of gifts. But this time, she needs to know more. She does not wants to wake up one morning and find him gone again. So she confronted him about his real country and his real name. He was shocked and amazed how she knew. 

Since everything was out in the open, he took a steps and asked if she is okay with everything. If they could continue on. She hated herself for agreeing to this relationship, she decided to just play along with him. Even if it means just to be a mistress or a lover. 

Then of course, within a few weeks, he had to leave the country again. This is where they stand in the airport, hand in hand. He asked her to join him. But how could she leave everything and just travel with him to his country, he is after all a stranger still, she’s worried herself if she followed him, he might sell her away or something. Maybe he is again not who he said he was. She decided she had to say goodbye. 

But is a goodbye ever a goodbye?
