Subject:Meeting again

Hey, Jasmine! I heard about a place we haven’t met in so long! We use to be in there when we were children! Can’t want to meet you again! I’m writing this to you since you only left me your email before you left. What your phone number?! Mine is 646 *** ****. Kidding! I don’t have one yet. I lost my phone number, but I’m using this brand new computer! It even better than my old phone. But I really really miss you. Please write to me back! Oh, and about the place — it’s Maple Street Park! I wasn’t sure if it was still there, but when I looked it up, it seems like it’s still active.

That’s all the time I have for now!

Write me back! XOXO~Sophia.

Hey, girlfriend! Glad to see you writing me an email! I been super busy with schoolwork. It like a shopping list you had to complete! Both worth meeting you it all I can say. Writing back to you it far more important then my schoolwork. My schoolwork is all complete now. Meeting at Maple Street Park? Sorry girlfriend, but that place is tore down a year ago! They start to build a shopping mall, but the park was one of the greatest memory we had together. The boys also been wondering how you been, but let just let it be us again. Perhaps we could find another park or how about an ice cream restaurant? I remember you complaining the the manager of your spill ice cream. It was so goofy luckily the manager fix her mistake while it wasn’t even her fault! In all seriousness how you been? I miss you too! Perhaps there are another place we could see how about an all you can eat buffet? Or we could perhaps go to the arcade we all had a good laugh, but this time it between me and you. Write me back! Perhaps then we could decide a place to visit.

Calling me girlfriend as the usually. People gonna think we dating! LOL. It truly upsetting that the place is getting tore down. There a new shopping mall that they’re building isn’t that the place where we used to had memory? Okay looking back we could try the shopping mall it used to be part of our memory. Although our memory we had is old, there a new place there. If you serious don’t want to visit the place that okay! Tell the boys that I’m doing good! Oh, one more favor to do. Just you and me don’t allow the boys to tag along. Could you do that? Appreciate it! Oh perhaps an arcade? Nah too risking we could be seen by the boys(aka your two older brother). Welp how about a zoo? Perhaps not. Or an ice cream restaurant I like that sound of that. It is call Harrison Ice Cream Shop? Man the manager won’t like me complaining, haha. But let go there if you reject the mall! Text me back!

Let go there. I meet you there. I rather go to the Harrison Ice Cream Shop before we head to the mall. I still need time to reflect. I met you there later. I’m wearing a black hoodie, and blue jeans. Don’t ask me why am I wearing something that literally summer. It just comfy, ok? Welp Pleasure writing to you. I be heading there. Write me back if you see me!

Sophia seen the message, she head to dress with a sassy dress. No that going to be too hot for her to wear. She doesn’t wanna attraction attention. Perhaps something that makes her less hot? Yea sure let go with that. She dry her hair in a pony tail, wear a clothes regular t-shirt and blue jeans. She grab the purse with her belonging stuff in it. Can’t wait to meet her childhood friend! Wait blue jeans? Is she trying to match with her? No, this stuff is complete normal. Sophia drive her car toward Harrison Ice Cream Shop. It took her 20 minutes for her to arrive.

She look around for Jasmine no sight of her. Wait patiently she thought in her head. Blue jeans. A woman with blue jean, black hair, and a black hoodie appear. The woman was back side so she couldn’t be completely sure. She tap on her shoulder and as the woman turn around her face appear.

“Wow, you wear glasses?!” She exclaimed. “Of course I do I recently got them a day or so. My eye sight isn’t really well. Jasmine admit. “So, you ready to order ice cream?” Jasmine asked, changing the subject.“Of course, but let me say something really quick,” Sophia said.

“What is it?”

“I lost my phone a week ago right after you moved. I couldn’t find it anywhere. I had to save up to buy a brand-new computer. It works great, but it was super expensive,” Sophia explained, rubbing the back of her neck. “I didn’t say anything in the email because... I felt like it’d be better to tell you in person.”

Jasmine shrugged. “It’s no big deal I’m not the type to judge people so quickly.” She gave a sly smile. “Besides, you’re just telling the reader so they know what’s going on, right?”

“What reader?” Sophia asked. “Never mind let go order the ice cream.” They order their ice cream. “Seriously you order mint ice cream? Don’t you use to hate it?” “Yea I do, but for your sake you-yourself order it too.” Sophia felt embarrassed, red cheek flustered

“Yea I did.” “So tell me what going on between you and him?” “We broke up and not in contact anymore, but we on neutral terms. Plus you could detect if I’m lying to you or not.” “Of course, Im like a lie detector!” “So ready to go to the mall?” “Yea sure, let finished the ice cream first.”

Sophia finished her ice cream while Jasmine waited and lick. Sound like she wasting time isn’t she? Sophia wait till 5 minutes the ice cream was gone, but the cone remain. “You don’t had to go there you know?” “No, we going there. I spotted the boys they seem to be trying out the mall.” Jasmine replied. “It just you and me remember?” “Yea of course!” Sophia replied.

Once Jasmine saw her two older brothers gone. “So does glasses give you super power?” “No, they don’t. It just give me better eye sight.” “Ready to head on?” “Let go.” Jasmine threw the wrapper away and it land on the trash.

They walk together side by side, Sophia still hiding her slight blush from earlier. The mall wasn’t far, just across the street. Jasmine look both ways before crossing. “Come on slowpoke,” she shout as Sophia try to catch up. They enter the mall and was instantly hit with the cold air. “Ah, now this is better than summer heat,” Jasmine said. They walk through the entrance, passing by stores that was still under construction.

“So this really the same place as Maple Street Park?” Sophia ask looking around.

“Yea, kind of weird right? But change happen,” Jasmine reply. They pass by a big fountain in the center of the mall. Kids was tossing pennies in, laughing and making wishes.

Sophia glance at Jasmine. “You not gonna toss one?”

Jasmine shake her head. “Nah, I don’t need wishes. I already here with you, right?”

Sophia roll her eyes. “Corny.”

“Still true,” Jasmine smirk.

As they walk past a clothing store Jasmine pause and look at a dress. “You think I’d look good in that?” she ask.

“Totally. But only if you buy me ice cream again.”

“No deal.” Jasmine smile and pull Sophia into the store. The two disappear inside, still laughing like the kids they once were.

And just like that, the memory of Maple Street Park became a new memory, right in the middle of the mall.
