Get it right the first time?

In today’s fast paced world, is it even possible to do?

Get it right the first time.

While believers know a thing or two about the narrow path, it is with prayer that the learning and growing keeps the grounded, grounded.

To some. This is a “no way” existence. To others, it is an extended hand of a request or a bequest to a higher power. When the hands fold, the Lord is let in. It is then, we learn how imperfect we are, and how perfect He is.

The challenge?

Letting be what is. The good. The bad. The ugly. The sad. The beauty. The wonder. They are, or can be all one and the same on the narrow path one chooses to follow. The freedom to get there is still within our personal power.

Life doesn’t always feel good.

Reality bites.

It is not a case of leaving others in “our dust.” As we race off to the next thing of so called importance in our lives. It is then when we trip and fall over ourselves in heated times of “What just happened?”

It is during the times of challenge we seek Him the most.

Why?

Because He knows what He is doing.

And.

We. Do not.

So.

We pray.

We fold our hands, fall on our knees and ask Him, “Why?”

In desperate moments, we do not always see the forest from the trees. So. We walk smack dab into one. A tree. A wall. Another person. Without so much as an apology to the them, or to ourselves. Viciousness snow balls. Viciously loyal is a state of mind. (gb)

We think we have “it” all under control. When it springs out of control, He brings His mighty hand down and says to us,

”Stop.”

Stop hurting yourselves.

Stop hurting others.

Hurt no one in My name.

Correct.

Hurt no one in His name.

Hey. At the end of the day, aren’t we all just trying to survive?

Yes.

And.

No.

He wants us to live a life of contentment, joy and still have enough energy and wonder to abound His great mysteries.

Our foolishness makes us think we have control over anything. We trip. We fall. Over ourselves and our own deafness.

As recent times have shown, it is how we pull our boot straps up that really matters.

How.

We.

Pull.

Our.

Boot.

Straps.

Up.

Up.

Up.

Up.

Up.

Yep.

He wants more for us that we may realize. Our set plan, our schedules seem to get in the way of His narrowness, we are in too much of a hurry to prove our rightness.. others ready to prove our wrongness..

He thinks. I love you and know.

Your hurts.

Your fears.

Your failings.

He knows He is the ultimate judge. He loves and wants you to know this too. Never give up on the mission-filled wonders he has in store for your life. He knew, even as a young boy. He asked questions of those who went before Him. He lived a life of good and was a witness to evils. He wanted to know why and He wanted to help right the wrongs.

He knew He needed us to do this, too. His messenger.

As a believer, we cannot turn our backs on Him or one another. Life, as He showed us on the cross with a weakening body, but a spirit so strong, that there is strength beyond measure.

If we just take a quiet moment to listen to Him. Through our thoughts, words and actions. We may not hear it the first time, the second time, or third time. The message? His answer? His message of forgiveness and the ways of mercy that come our way.

Down here on earth we are simply the messengers. We have various ways to show His message when we ask for help, cry our hearts out in the sake of His name.

We want so to feel free from the chains of our own schackles.

Sometimes. Yes. We do it to ourselves.

He alone will save us from ourselves. If we pray, practice and listen to His goodness. There is no room in this world for jealously and hate. The signs of weakness. It crowds out our better judgment leaving us thirsty for more.

We belly up to the bar. Over do it. We down the bag of chips. We gorge and glutton. We run 10,000 steps all in an effort to find out what we need. We exhaust. Doing these things foolishly makes us think we are “free.”

When simply and actually we should walk His walk more often, practice what He preaches. And we will become more free than we ever could imagine. No more chains.

There is no such thing as a small act of kindness.

With kindness there is a measure of freedom. There are prayers and rituals that prove this to be true in the mind of a believer.

”A libation is a ritual.” A pouring of a liquid as an offering to a deity or spirit, or in memory of the dead. It is common in many religions of antiquity and continues to be offered in cultures today.” (wk)

A libation comes in many forms—wine, alcoholic drinks, olive oil, honey, and in India ghee. The vessels used in the ritual, including the lateral, often had a significant form which differentiated them from secular vessels. (wk)

Yep.

We are all different vessels.

We have a choice every day

How to serve one another in His goodness graces.

All here on earth, we have been given a beautiful day. How we spend it indicates whether we follow His path,

In Russia, and some parts of the Commonwealth of an Independent States, there is a tradition of pouring vodka onto a grave. In Georgia, it is common to pour a glass of wine onto a grave.

In the United States, libations are occasionally offered in the name of a deceased person on various occasions, usually when drinking socially amongst friends in private.

In African American rapper settings, malt liquor is commonly used. In Rabbinic Judaism, drops of wine are taken from one’s glass at the Passover Seder by pouring them out. (wk)

No matter the different ways we pour our heart and our soul out to Him. We need to recognize His face. The Son Of God. Sense the unique authority that Jesus speaks. Tend to the word with grace. Tend To His Mother Mary with the grace bestowed upon by the Most High. (pf)

Do not confront the identity and the mission He bestows upon us with dread. We are all one and the same in His eyes.

Open our minds and our hearts to others. Bow our heads and pray for each other. And listen to the grace we hear.
