This time, ‘Gentlemen first, Please’

People come to you only when they want something from you. Aren’t you tired of this greed, God? One day I’ll do something for you too once my duties for my family are fulfilled for their sacrifices need to be rewarded first. You’re the most powerful and I can’t do much for you, but you take care of my family and I’ll take care of you. I want to do something for God who gives to everyone..’’ innocent little Aurora lived her life on this promise.

Who knew God would say, “Bring back my Boys!”

This promise ran in Aurora’s blood her entire childhood, and youth as well. So she ended up rejecting all marriage proposals she got, choosing her family responsibilities over the riches of this world. Also, she had a magical belief in fairytales. 

The only person she depended on for emotional support was God, never her friends, that’s why she hated socializing. She knew a marriage existed where nobody touched nobody, nobody lived with nobody under one roof before entering in that beautiful covenant and still, turns out to be the most blessed marriage of all time.

“Know each other before marriage for 10 years” or “live with each other before marriage”, these concepts were not for Aurora, she knew it. How? The God in her heart told her maybe. 

She joined a workplace where the majority of the women were bothered by her presence because every man liked her and used to enquire about her before working with her. Truly for the reason that she showed even after getting all the golden chances of the world, she wouldn’t turn into a gold digger or lose her character, but stay a pious woman forever, in the name of her family, and God.

One day, Aurora was talking to her colleague when she saw a handsome man climbing up the stairs and she went back to the conversation. She turned to head back home and suddenly that man who was already looking at her said, ‘Hi.’ 

Aurora was startled. She felt like she had known that man for ages and finally, she got to see him again. Also, when he said hi, she saw her own face in him saying ‘hi’ to her. It felt like a part of Aurora hidden in that man’s face was greeting her. It was an enchantment in real life. Unbelievable! 

Her colleague told her the man was the senior boss, Nathan, the most popular but the most arrogant who talked to no woman in the company. Surprisingly, Aurora’s encounter with him was the opposite. 

Another day she met him again, this time he was trying to talk to her, asking her out for lunch. She noticed how fast this man was, she met her only yesterday and today he was asking her out.

Arrogant for all girls but her! 

She felt he was not the wrong one at all and suddenly remembered how she felt the first moment when she saw him. 

She knew where it was going so she stopped the conversation and ran away, ignoring him. Being a humble man he never reached out to her again, for he didn’t want to force a woman.

Meanwhile, The women started spreading rumours against her when they couldn’t handle Aurora’s glorified personality anymore. Soon Aurora realized that every person was starting to dislike her and avoid her to such an extent that if she spoke, they’d not even look at her. The innocent girl started to lose her confidence as she couldn’t handle everyone’s hateful eyes any longer. 

“I can’t understand what could a woman say against another woman that an entire company can start cursing the innocent one without a doubt.

It’s like people are circling me holding stones in their hands, only to throw them at me.” 

She cried to God, asking him what did she ever do to feel so much hatred for her. 

She got so scared that she ran away to another country, to earn money for her family with pain in her heart that she had to lose her livelihood to save her life.

After flying to the West, she invested all her money in a house which she bought for her family. She was about to gift them their new home when the contractor ran away as he sold somebody else’s property to innocent Aurora with fake paperwork, stealing all her money. 

Aurora was drowning in pain, first, the girls made her lose her only source of income and then the thief took all whatever she earned.

Now she was left with nothing. Always been a good and responsible child, trying to save her family, never an adulteress, and always made decisions with a heart which never turned greedy for someone else’s riches. What was all this for? Just to lose everything in the end. 

When a person is truly broken, the world’s knowledgeable quotes about gratefulness, hope and holding on a little longer, none of these work to cure a bleeding heart, nothing. The tears are uncontrollable and then a person gets numb, too tired to cry even. 

One magical night, while Aurora was quietly lying in bed, she saw a light shined, in the closet mirror. She got up in fear, shivering. She couldn’t believe what she saw. Suddenly she fainted and woke up finding herself tied to a chair in a dark room.

She saw her young father standing alone in a corner seeing his entire family dancing at a party. Her father walks back to his room and a 29-year-old man cries like a baby, his eyes turning blood red. Aurora learnt how painful abandonment can be and men feel it too. “I’m always alone, I have no one..” and he started crying again. He wanted someone to pat his head and tell him somebody got his back. She never knew this side of her father. This was the first time she saw her father crying…

Suddenly a bright light shines, Aurora immediately closes her eyes and then again darkness falls. This time her brother comes in front of her when he went abroad to earn money. Some white man threw eggs on her 27-year-old brown-skinned brother on the street when he went out to find a job, again. He dials his mother’s number but hangs up, poor man couldn’t express anything to his mother, every son’s first love. With tears rolling down his face, he walked back home in the rain. 

Again darkness, she couldn’t see anything. 

Then she saw one of her bosses from her previous workplace, the most desirable lady, Natalie. She was fighting with Nathan about why he still wants Aurora when everyone hates her. 

Aurora was blown away. She completely forgot about him and realized somebody was there in the company who was fighting for her all the time. 

Natalie warned him that she would ruin his career and left the hall. Then she saw her filing a complaint against Nathan for physical assault on her, as revenge.

The poor man got fired as nobody believes a man if a woman files a complaint against him. Aurora now sees him in a room crying to God to save his life. 

Aurora realized he held onto her despite the loathing of the whole company. 

“Where was I when my family was crying the tears of blood, I understand about papa, but my brother..How could I not realize?”

She felt an engorging grief in her heart and tired Aurora burst into tears seeing the men in her life suffering only because they were men who are taught by society to suffer in silence. 

Aurora was very expressive just like every woman. That day she realized men do feel pain, it’s a pressure on them to stay quiet about it. 

“Boys don’t cry like girls”, maybe that’s why they commit suicide rather than letting it out. 

Darkness fell all over again and she felt sleepy, waking up in her bed. She immediately looked into the mirror and bowed her head on the ground to God. She just knew the visions came from the highest power. 

“Live together before marrying each other, it’s not it. My heart says it’s not it. So this is it. I’LL SHOW YOU THIS IS IT!” Aurora recalled this thought.

God showed her this was it. Nathan was a gift of her faith. 

She cried while pleading to God, and suddenly an instance she read about came into her mind. A series of thoughts started playing like a tape recording, it was all magic. 

“One day there was a wounded old lion, surrounded by hyenas trying to kill him, he tried to fight but lacked the strength. From a distance came a healed lion, threw away all the hyenas and saved the wounded one. 

A wounded lion is the man, who is saved by no one in this new world of ‘feminism’ which says ‘we don’t need men.’ The world is a hyena attacking him, but no one comes to save him.”

She realized that she was destined to be the other lion and was taken by God on a journey to become one. 

But, she didn’t know she had to learn something else too. She was filled with so much love for these men that she forgot that excess of nothing is good. 

She had yet to learn, the balance. 

A thought dropped in her mind.

“No matter how much a person loves you, including your family, they are always giving their 99%, the remaining 1 percent is the trauma of not allowing that 99 to turn into 100. A brother sacrifices for his sister and sends her abroad so that she can have a lavish life, but the same brother chooses to serve his colleagues over his sister due to people pleasing. The sister cries over the 1 percent but she controls her sadness by recalling the sacrifices, the 99 percent portion. 

The problem is, that people forget the 99 percent and based on that one percent, end up breaking the bonds forever.

Healing is, bringing a balance in emotions and accepting that 1 percent needs to be cured keeping in mind the efforts it took for that loved one to give that 99 percent. And this one thought took years to show up….

Aurora’s intuition made her realize that sometimes you have to walk away to heal that one percent. 

No matter how many times your heart melts remembering their beautiful sacrifices, do not come back until they come back to you after their injury. Injury because they will feel a lot of pain in self-realization. 

This is how God loves his children. He gives them bad days, people think God has gone away, and then they learn the biggest lessons in those bad days and once learned, God comes back or people go back to God, and the divine ALWAYS take them back. Maybe this was the real meaning of never giving up on each other. 

“But this doesn’t matter, money will fix it all.”

“A lot, not all. Money fixes a lot, but God wants to fix it all, all of it. When a man gets rich, the first thing he does is run to other women to flaunt his wealth. My father won’t do that because I will teach him that it’s only his abandonment issues which make him feel the need for approval from those women who never gave him the respect he deserved when he had empty pockets. My brother will not serve his friends first and then his sister because I'll teach him that he doesn't need to prove himself to anyone. If the need to seek acceptance from others is felt, it means that there is some fault in the company he has chosen. His sister accepts him just like that so she should be chosen over anyone, always. The people who made him lose his confidence and gave him self-esteem issues do not deserve that kind of attention. God is protecting me from the future I think I'm okay with, but I can't accept because I can’t see my family breaking.

Money is the route of all evil….

God healed me so that my dream of having a perfect family life is there to remain, till the end!’’

This whole thought process ran in her mind and she remembered that in childhood she promised to give something to God and lived the entire life of a saint, only to receive something bigger and unimaginable for herself. 

Her eyes filled with tears of gratitude, she only wanted money, but when he rewards, he gives you more than what you thought was written in your destiny. 

A revolutionary change came with hope, a blessing, and a chance in the darkest moment of her life. 

“Every man in my life will be expressive of what’s killing him from the inside day and night. They will complain too and this time their complaints will be heard. They want to feel a mother’s love from their daughters and partners as well, they will get it.” 

“If only I had known this simple truth before..”

She closed her eyes in prayer! 

After such a positive routine, things started getting better for her for when you learn the lesson, the universe shifts to a new timeline. Soon enough at her workplace, a guest revealed he was an editor at a fashion magazine looking for a model with short height for his new project and found Aurora as a perfect match. 

“A short model? Models are always supposed to be tall….When God wants it, he makes it happen, and mostly in the stupidest ways.” She laughed after this thought and accepted the offer. 

And the long struggle ended in a moment!!

After receiving a huge amount in a short span, she went back home to her family and this time, she knew she had to work with a ‘balance’ for it was time to save the men in her life.

Her previous workplace where she never wanted to return, was calling back to her. Fate always takes you back to where you started. 

Somebody needed to be rescued as well, the one in whom she saw her own identity. 

She went back, this time with pride, and promised the man to build a life together from the beginning and he told her about the same divine magic when he saw her for the first time. “I’ve known you for a very long time.”

“Yeah, yeah” and she laughed it off. Cunning Aurora wanted to have a little fun first. 

“What did the girls say about me that everybody hated me so much?”, Aurora was no more interested in knowing the truth but somewhere in her heart she wanted an answer.

”uhh, let’s just say, People in this world do not have problems with bad people, but only with good people who are not part of the filth yet.”, Nathan answered, with a confident reassuring look.

And Aurora never asked for more, she got something no one could have imagined. So she was free to let go of the past.

She started spending a lot of time with her father and brother, asking them incidents about their life and she realized the men didn’t shut up. Why would they? They never get to tell anybody how they felt. So when someone asked, they let it all out, and ALL WAS A LOT! 

She had never been this grateful and peaceful. 

“She saw little boys in her father and brother who now wanted to tell her about everything that excited them. God brought their childhood back through Aurora.

And Nathan was on her list too for healing, but only after marriage. 

This was the biggest blessing anyone could ever ask for. 

Two marriages in the family, Aurora and her brother and everyone lived happily ever after, and this time, no man was ever killing himself again. All credit to God’s mother, she saved her boys!
