*Based off of the tale of Tamara and Demon/ Includes sexual mentions*
Tamara sat by his grave wiping a tear from her wet cheeks. Beside her sat her betrothed's killer, Demon. He had given her no name to call him by only to know him as Demon, a fitting name for him.
He gazed at her tear-stained face, tenderly wiping away her tears. She glared at him, her face distraught.
"You're a heinous creature you know." she told him through her sobs. Demon nodded, knowing she would bend to his love one day. Tamara straightened her dress, trying viciously to smooth out the wrinkles.
"Do you need help princess?" Demon asked sweetly, his voice laced with hope.
"Need no fear Demon, I can handle a wrinkle or two," she replied sauntering away from her beloved's grave, leaving to find her father's home. Not only night ago she had been dancing gaily awaiting her love to arrive. Yet when he arrived upon his horse, he sat dead, still seated upon his steed.
His body speckled with arrows and a pained expression on his face. Demon's caressing gaze sweeping over her body as she mourned for her soon to be husband. The whole house mourned, not able to see the Demon who lurked around her, watching her, giving her smiling looks, whispering a word or two. The house didn't see her sitting awake in the bad, holding the crucifix tightly to her chest as he watched.
Last night he had tried to lay in bed with her, she told him it would not be appropriate. He stood by her bed the whole night instead, told her it was to keep her safe, no matter how many times she assured him she was fine, to leave her alone in her mourning. Fear struck her then though, fearing his touch.
How she did miss her prince. Even now he was following her as she found her way into her father's study.
"Papa, please-" she cried out with tears, he came over to her, abandoning his writing for her.
"My dear," he started worry on his face, she twisted around to see Demon looking down on her with a loving smile. a shiver racked her body.
"Papa the Demon follows, he is wanting papa, send me away to rid myself of this Demon, how tortured his sallow soul is." she told him kneeling at his feet, Demon frowning.
"Tamara dearest, where shall I send you? I could let our own treat you of your visions here!" he told her grasping her hand.
"I have not wish to lose you so soon after your betrothed, daughter."
"I know papa, but help me this once, send me to the monasteries, let them rid me of this evil spirit!" she said trying to hold her tears as Demon tilted her chin up to look at him.
"I just want to love you, Tamara! Not to harm only love," he whispered knowing fully well what would happen if she fell for him temptations... what would happen to him if he let her fall for his temptations. How he wanted to fall for her.
She shook her head, hugging her father, as he agreed.
A week later she laid in bed at the convent, a crucifix at her side.
"Jesus," she mumbled, tired with sleep. "Why?"
Demon sat watching, not straying from her side.
Tamara sat up in her bed, silently looking to Demon, a hopeless face, wondering why she was the one whose life was ruined by a Demon.
"Beautiful princess Tamara, I am utterly smitten for your love!" he confesses, continuing on to tell her of his story.
"Mighty god cast me away from heaven, and I couldn't help but notice you on my fall down to earth. How I have pined over you for weeks, wishing you would love me sweet Tamara! I wish to kiss you, but I fear for your health If am to do so, For God's mighty hand made me to destroy mortal souls, and I couldn't bear to desecrate such beauty!"
Tamara cried then, sobbing for his torturous pain he would endlessly suffer, for his mortal weakness in his immortal body.
taking his hand, she brought him close to her asking him a question,
"Will I see my love?"
He gave her a sweet gaze, "I naught know Tamara. Only that I wish you are happy."
With is words she brought him to her chest, fluttering her lashes at him, caressing his bare chest, reliving his tortured soul of his burdens for the night.
Outside her doors passed a watchman who heard the sounds inside, deciding to ignore them in his wake.
Deep in the throes of their love, Demon whispered to her with pain filling his voice, her lips poised above his own, cursed ones.
"Are you to leave me alone in this universe, abandoned, without love or hope?"
She smiled, making his heart bloom with his love for her.
"I would never forget you Demon, whichever way Jesus takes my sinful soul, I will remember you." she tells him, pressing her lips to his own in a passionate throw. Letting his demonic lips love her to death.
Darkness overtakes Tamara, leaving Demon alone on earth for eternity, sorrow straining at his body only able to wish for his Tamara; unable to know is she is in heaven with her betrothed. Tamara awakens to the golden light of Heaven, her prince awaiting her with a feast for her, sitting beside Jesus, singing songs of praise and love.
Tamara's father would learn of her untimely death later that year and spend his days mourning her death.
Over the hundreds of long years her story would be lost to age, but still would her remains be visited by struggling pilgrims. And as the tale is known, Demon still visits her earthy grave, crying his immortal tears over her grave, unable to knowing if she remembered him.
High above the land and seas, she still dances, thinking of her demon.
