Ever looked out a window and just thought of everything. You see peace, silence. You hear cars, birds chirping, police cirien, kids screaming. You think about life, your future. Sometimes you make yourself cry just by thinking and over thinking. One day this male named Bryan, he's 17 and a senior, might not graduate. Since freshman year ( Ninth Grade). He was never home, always out late at night with his friends, his parents always working. You don't think of anything, you just feel down that your parents don't care. Bryan's life is upside down. He doesn't really care about anything. That Tuesday Bryan looks out the window like every other day. His parents come home early, both of them. Bryan felt really happy but started to think, at that moment Bryan knew something was wrong. His parents asked Bryan to sit down at the dinner table. Bryan's mind was all over the place. Bryan Mother starts off with " Im sorry" Bryan replies with " For what, Is everything okay?" Bryan's father adds on " No Bryan for this day your life will change. Nobody will ever love you the same way I did." Bryan's mother interrupts "stop it, don't tell him, it was a mistake I didn't mean to. I'm sorry!" Bryan's mother starts to cry. Bryan is confused, Bryan's father Tim gets up angry, pushes in the chair aggressively towards the dinner table and walks out the kitchen to his room. Bryan screams at his mother Rose "WHAT DID YOU DO." Rose gets up and looks at Bryan. I'm so sorry but your dad thought he saw me cheating with my boss when he surprised me with breakfast, but it's not what you think it is." Before she could have said more Tim walks out of his room with bags of clothes and shoes like if he was going on vacation. Bryan says " where are you going don't leave me" Tim said " I'm not leaving you son for your mother mistake i'll love you no matter what I'll be back for you. If you ever need help i'm a call away" * Tim walks out* Bryan starts to cry and shouts " IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT WHY DID YOU DO IT YOU RUINED OUR FAMILY" Bryan runs to the chair by the window his peace. His mom goes to the room. Bryan stairs outside for about 5 minutes. A thought hits him. He has to start doing better in school, stop drugs, alcohol, Skipping classes, being more with family, look for a job and get out and live life fair and equal. The next day he woke up around 5 in the morning, got out of bed, made his breakfast, ate it, cleaned, showered, and got ready. Without his mom I never saw Bryan like this so maybe he doesn't know what he's doing. Bryan walks out of his home with a smile. He changed his style; he no longer wears long shorts, white tee-shirt, long socks, and his converse. He was wearing a light blue shirt with black pants, Black vans. Something a normal teenager would wear. Bryan was heading to school when an old man looking like in his 60’s handed Bryan a card. It was written “ For a bright future ahead, God watching” Bryan felt very emotional and inspired. Bryan thought it was just a normal note, but it wasn't. Bryan felt something behind a note, he was scared now he turns it over and it's a scratcher for the lottery. It hasn't been scratched, Bryan hasnt got to the age to turn in a lottery ticket even if he wins. Bryan puts it in his backpack because he thinks it's a joke. So he gets to school and everyone looks at him. Bryan was wondering why everyone was looking at him until trouble started. His friends were walking down the hall, Bryan tried to avoid them for his own good, it was too late Bryan couldn't resist it. His friend Juan approached Bryan “ What are you wearing, you look funny.” Bryan proudly said “ New me like it or not it's for me not for you.” Juan got mad and was about to throw a fight up but before Juan could do anything Bryan left unbothered. Once Bryan got to his first period everyone was looking at him since he has never really gone to school. He went straight to his teacher and asked if he could turn in missing assignments and wondered what he could do to better up his grade in that class. His teacher Mr. Bentely approved and let him once he said yes bryan digs into his backpack and turns in EVERYTHING!!! You should have seen Mr.Bentley's face. Bryan did it to all his periods, every teacher said yes. 2 weeks later bryan had 4 A’s
2 B’s 1 C. 4 MONTHS LATER,Tim moved out of his home 6 months ago and left Bryan with his mom. Tim moved to Utah for a new fresh start, Rose is still seeing her boss after telling everyone it wasnt how we saw it. Bryan is now developing, better in school, ignored the negativity, and hangs out with better people. I see Rose being happy with all the money her boss is giving her. It sucks how Rose takes care of other kids but lets Bryan go down the drain. There's about 2 more weeks left of school and 1 more week til Bryan graduation. He’s so excited. Bryan picks up his phone and dials his dad.
Tim: Hey son how are you doing
Bryan: Great dad thank you for asking
Tim: I miss you son. I've been really busy, I have news to tell you.
Bryan: I miss you too dad, it's okay I understand… What is it?
Tim: Well son I met someone and we've been talking for about 2 months already and im just in love with her.
Bryan: That's great dad! Happy for you. You deserve to be happy. Well I have news too
Tim: What is it about everything okay?
Bryan: Yes dad…* Long pause*
Tim: Hello bryan? You th… * Bryan interrupts*
Bryan: I'M GRADUATING!!!!
Tim: Omg that's so good! Thank you for making me proud! I told you that's the way you can shut people up! Thank you son
Bryan: Yea dad I hope you can make it.
The day of graduation:
I'm so glad this day has came this was everything I ever dreamed of my dad here. Making him proud, my mother will always be my mother and we continue to celebrate without her. His dad came and experienced his accomplishment with Bryan without his mom. Bryan mom lost herself to drugs after finding out her boss cheated on her and lost all his money. Tim is now was better without rose and is now married to Jessica. Bryan is now graduating from college with a medical degree and living his life with his beautiful girlfriend. His mom tried looking for him for help but Bryan didnt let her come in because when he needed his mother she wasn't there. She was with her boss kids. Now that Bryan is making more money than her boss, his mother wants him. Bryan is so happy where he is now. If it wasn’t for his mom's mistakes and making him realize that he wouldn’t go anywhere with his life he was living years ago. He wouldn’t be where he is now. Now with problems in your life don’t hesitate to make a change in your life you’ll see better things coming it’s going to be hard and difficult we can all make a change. A good change. Looking out a window will make you think your life is good or bad. Depends on what you're thinking of.

Emily, that was a beautiful opening line for your story; tight, concise, and open to interpretation. It was the perfect set up for what followed. Great job!
