When darkness fall

I’m going to melt ugh i hate when it rains, Melody screamed as she ran trying to get out the rain. I know they need to let us off already, said Crystal Melody’s co-worker. Only in Dallas are they making us work in the storm another coworker said. As the co-workers begin to look outside the wind starts picking up. My phone said we have a tornado heading this way i'm about to call the store manager and she if she will let me close the store early said the shift manager. Nova the shift manager takes out her phone and walks away. I hope she answer because who not about to be away from thier family for this storm is me, nova said as she starts to dial the number. Wow is that the tornado horn Melody asked. Yes, yes it is said Nova, looking at the window in deep thought. What did Lisa say? Crystal asked looking confused. Nova clicked out her deep thought stage and looked over to the crew members. We cant close she said due to we are wal-mart if we close me and the store manager can get in big trouble said Nova. See this is why wal-mart about to lose me, we don’t close on holidays now its a whole tornado about to hit and we still have to stay, Melody said as she shook her head. Tell me about it Crystal agreed, i got kids at home if something happen to me this job going to be here.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! The sound of the thunder roaring across the sky. See this what im talking about Nova said pointing to the lights blinking on and off. Jessica another co-worker ran from the break room, where is the flash lights and stuff in case the lights go out Nova. Nova looked at Jessica running to the crowd. Girl your guess is good as mine. I just called Lisa all she said was we can’t close the store. Sooooo you mean to tell me if the lights go out we just going to be stuck in the dark. Ding Ding Ding and you answered the problem correct now go to the next level Melody said with a attuide. Alright yall said Nova still looking outside puzzled. This weather sure is a mess said a customer coming in the store. Nova looked at Melody and said under her breath yeah fine time to come shop. All the front end cashiers heard her and laughed. Alright yall go check these people out said Jessica the csm. Hey did you find everything you was looking for this evening said Melody to the customer. Well it would be nice if yall had the old fashion flash lights that my grandma use to have. I’m sorry you couldnt find them but you do know our store as a section with all kind of light fixes. Swoosh Swoosh the wind begin to knock over the bar b que pits outside. The store lights begin to flick on and off some more, this time they clicked off and didnt come back on for a second.

Exuse me Nova, said Jessica you do know our store is full of customers still. Dang Nova said as she grabbed the phone and begin to make the annoucement. Attention wal-mart shopper i repeat attention wal-mart shoppers due to power lost our registers are down and we will not be able to check anyone out at the moment sorry for the inconvenience this may cause Nova said as she ended the annoucement. Nova walked back over to Jessica n shook her head. Man this aint right, the store protection dude walked up saying. What aint right said Nova looking confused at secret shopper. This the secret shopper said while pointing to the dark crowded store. All associates yall start helping the customers the the front door, these lights is not about to come on no time soon said Nova.

Stop, dont touch me yelled a customer that was stealing and just got caught. Joe the secret shopper walks over to Nova. See this is whats about to be going on the whole night. WE are stuck with over 180 people left in our store. Nova shook her head and begain pulling all the items the theif hd stuck in her clothes. Why yall got to make my job hard today Nova said to the theif. Wll maybe if yall wasnt so dumb it wouldn’t be so easy to steal out of a store with no power. Tell me about it Jessica said, Nova gave her that girl you about to get fired look. Well i’m just saying he do have a point. Why is our store the only store open in the cliff no one in the cliff have power so yes we are a target right now thats all i was agreeing to. Joe nova screamed at the coworker start letting these people out the store. You must didnt know the doors are locked shut nova duh the power off. Nova looks up from what she doing dang dude you sure right. This about to be a long dark night. Tell me about it said Jessica looking at all the customers left in the store. So where is the hammer and tools at because I ain't feeling being locked in this store, yet alone locked in this store with people I don't know said melody. Girl what you know about some tools Joe said looking at melody. Melody looked back at Joe and said before I was married I was independent and rolled her eyes at him. Flirting in the dark I see, a voice out of no where came out the dark office. Now what the heck was that Jessica said tripping over 3 customers. Well its dark not a peak of light in here duh so how are we suppose to know. Look Joe don't get slapped Jessica turned around and said. I said give me all your cash is it a joke, the dark voice said seeming to be mad. Hold on dude is you trying to rob us in the dark no power no nothing. You do know that means we have no way to get into the cash drawer said melody swinging all of her 28 inch tracks. Look please just give him the money a scared customer said crying. Look just give him the money Joe copied off the customer. Just give who the money its dark no power no nothing I'm just suppose to pass out money Joe said while laughing. Jessica begins to paste around the store man I didn't sign up for this. Girl shut up a voice spoke in the manager room. Nova you shut up Jessica turned around and said. Dang what I do this time Nova told Jessica. You told me to shut up so I told you back Jessica said. No I didn't said Nova. Look its too dark in here how about everyone shut up.
