Carl had been watching the woman for over an hour. She has been sitting on a bench ever since he first noticed her, facing out to the sea, with her hands loosely in her lap. He is watching the sun catcher that hangs in his window. It is a happy thing to watch, because of the bright yellows, oranges and greens of the daffodils, the trees and the sun in the lead glass picture. As the sun catches it, it magnifies the rays and it makes his room glow with warmth and colour. New to this forum, not new to writing. I've been writing stories on and off since I was 10 years old. Never published, although I came relatively close once. I probably won't ever stop writing completely, even if nothing comes of it.
