Where I come from does not exist anymore. The people are gone, the buildings are gone, the pain is gone. It's a good thing, where I come from, has no bearing on my life anymore. Where I come from, is a very small town in rural Arizona in the 1970’s and 80’s. I was five when we moved there, and my mother said I hated it from day one. I'm 55 yrs old, married with 2 grown LQBTQIA children. I'm a respiratory therapist by trade. I've been in healthcare for 34 years. Took quite an emotional hit after two years on the front lines of the pandemic. Have been told in the past I have a writing talent. Exploring that side of myself to get away from healthcare and while recovering from a serious illness.
