The wooden floor creaked under every slow and somber step. Rivaling the dreadful sight of an abandoned warehouse, the small space was dim, having aged woefully, nearly every inch of it covered in layers of wispy tan dust. Some settled onto the edges of his old round glasses, but he couldn’t bother to wipe it off, looking around.
