Author bio

I am the food writer and restaurant creator - trying to become fiction writer - from Lviv, Ukraine. I published many articles and book chapters in non-fiction (in Ukrainian): first about international politics, then about restaurants, gastronomy, and food history. In 2024, thanks to a prolonged illness and Ukrainian-British writing courses, I turned to fiction, writing in Ukrainian and English. I am looking for publisher of short stories collection β€˜More Cognac for Mr Churchill: Eight Lunches, Dinners and Breakfasts in 1945’ which describes events of World War ending year through food and conversations by the table. I'm also working on a novel about a bartender who volunteered for the war, came back wounded and crippled, and is trying to find himself in a relatively peaceful life - and even create something. I am the husband of a wonderful woman and father of an extraordinary 11-year-old boy, who now live in London due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Meanwhile, I am trying to complete the creation of two gastronomic brands for the Polish market. And I write a lot every day, because when you start at the age of 45 in a country at war, you appreciate any opportunity to create something valuable.
