Around Ever’s thumb, a skirt of dead skin wavered in the breeze. Each flap nodded off a bit of orange, yellow, and brown glitter, costellating the air in autumnal corruscations. “Are you doing a hand peel?” Nova asked, mooning over the small phenomenon the skin flaps emitted.  “This is the third day of it, my hands should be as soft as a baby's by next week!” Ever chirped.
