“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine.” Charlie softly sang, his forehead rested against mine. My hand clenched his as a train whistle cut through our connection. I felt tears rush to my eyes as I finished the song we shared through childhood, “You make me happy when skies are gray.” Charlie pulled away, shouldering a duffle bag and stepping on the train.
