The gate creaked under the weight of the snow against it as Nick pushed it open. The night air was crisp and clean from the ordinary scent of dead flowers that people often left here in remembrance. It snowed almost a foot the day before, but tonight the sky was clear, full moon shining, with plenty of light to see.
