  I wake up. I can't open my eyes just yet. I don't want to wake up. I force myself to roll on my side. I open my eyes. Today is December 31st. I really can't believe it's that time already. I don't have anything planned today. I reach for my phone on my nightstand. It's 8:16 AM. I make my legs walk me to the bathroom. I brush my teeth. I comb my messy hair.
