Ms. Shefali S K is a Full-time Research scholar in Psychology at St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangalore University, Karnataka, India. She was formerly working as Assistant Professor, in the Department of Psychology, SDM PG College, Ujire, Karnataka, India. Her research interest includes, Creativity, Mindfulness, Wellbeing, especially among elementary school children. She has a couple of research articles published in renowned journals. Having writing as her passion and travelling as her hobby, Ms. Shefali S K has published many travel tales in newspapers like Deccan Herald and Talk of Bangalore. Her short story “Dream” has bagged certificate of Merit in the Creative Writing Competition conducted by Deccan Herald in 2005. In 2014, she has won first place in the essay competition held by Bangalore Social Science Forum. Her poems and essays have been published in English Journals, namely Indian Ruminations, Literary Herald, Ashvamegh, The Criterion, Langlit etc. In 2016, Shefali has published a book titled “Krithika”. It is a collection of poems, short stories and articles. In 2018, she has edited a book titled “Psychology: Existing Trends and Emerging Fields”. Ms. Shefali S K., has recently attended fully sponsored Researcher Connect workshop hosted by Bangor University. The training was held on the 7th to the 9th of March, 2019 in Istanbul, Turkey, and was led by professional trainers from the UK. She conducts workshops and delivers talks in and around Mangalore. She has various research papers for her credit too.
