Eugene cradled his baby girl and stared at the black and white TV screen. The 1969 moon landing was one of many firsts that year. “You see Mr. Armstrong, Sweetie? He’s like our ambassador to space, taking the first steps for us all.” Eugene kissed the baby. “You’ll be walking soon, stepping into your future.” She reached out and gripped his pinky. “Who knows?
