I’ve always invited Nadya to the lake house. It's not even something we ever discussed. Just me squeezing her hand, and her showing up with a duffle and a sleeping bag. We shared the bed of course. But she still brought her sleeping bag. Every time, as if in preparation for some kind of natural disaster.
