Things happen in threes, isn’t that what they say. I never gave much credit to the idea, much weight, everything had been so good before. I never needed to believe in luck, good, or bad. Now, I sought refuge in it. I never saw it coming, my first bout of bad luck. I thought we were happy, I truly did. I skipped around our beautiful kitchen, in my gym clothes, with my slick ponytail swishing perfectly behind my back. Dad held her hand tight through the whole funeral, like he was afraid she might disappear, and she supposed she could, not that dad knew that. It hurt a bit, but he was shaking and crying so much, she thought it better not to say. There was a lot of people there. Mum had been popular, more so than she knew or understood, Mum was always very friendly, that must’ve been it. Each person was as distraught as the last, you couldn’t tell the pretenders from the real ones. A woman who was already half keeled over, pushed herself forw...

I'm twenty seven years old, I live in Ireland. My mum is Swedish, even though she has a thicker accent than I do. I've wanted to be a writer since I was eight years old. I'm currently working on a few different novels, my concentration likes to dart out to many places at once. My most beloved at the moment is the one I was working on when I was ten, barely legible, with more pictures than stories...Now, I'm trying to make it into a real a novel, younger me still had some very good plot ideas and story titles.
