A gunshot went off in the distance.  “Your Majesty—” “I know,” I said.  I walked down to the basement of the castle, where I could pull the book that moved the bookshelves. Then, when I was in the corridor behind the shelves, I would tip the vase that opened the trapdoor beneath me.
