The faintest shade of green gleamed on the walls. Healing Aloe, they called it. The baseboards and molding shone a Chantilly Lace. My eyes scanned the seams where the plaster met wood. “We, the jury, find the defendant guilty.” “Thank you for your service. You are dismissed.” It was completed without fanfare, another routine of the daily court.
