The sun peeked shyly over the horizon, spreading its first rays across the immensity of the sea. A child awoke, feeling his face sink into the damp sand. His eyes still heavy with fatigue, he slowly raised his head, the fine, salty grains of the beach clinging to his skin. He took a deep breath, smelling the sea air mixed with the dry sweat that permeated his body. Author bio

I was born on the 7th of February 1971 in the municipality of Paredes - Penafiel and I have a degree in Law from the Felgueiras School of Technology and Management of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. I'm the author of the literary work "A vida numa cicatriz" (A Life in a Scar), awarded at the 2nd Cordel D'Prata Authors' Gala in the Readers' Choice 2020 and Romance 2020 categories, the literary short story "O mistério das pranchas de surf" (The Mystery of the Surfboards), published as an e-book under the Amazon label, and the novel "Resistência com sotaque" (Resistance with an Accent), published by the Oficina da Escrita. I also participated with the poems "Triste fado" in volume XII of the anthology of contemporary Portuguese poetry "Entre o Sono e o Sonho" by Chiado Books, "Gente com alma de mar" in volume I of the anthology of contemporary literature, Gente com alma de mar' in volume I of the anthology of contemporary literature entitled 'Alma de Mar' by Chiado Books and 'Sinto-te falta' in volume XIII of the anthology of contemporary Portuguese poetry entitled 'Entre o Sono e o Sonho' by Chiado Books and 'Meu irmão Alberto' in volume XIV of the anthology of contemporary Portuguese poetry entitled 'Entre o Sono e o Sonho' by Chiado Books.
