The first thing that Elliott taught me is that there are two kinds of protest. Or at least there used to be. He taught me that the first one is the kind we still have, the kind they show snippets of on the news sometimes. This kind is furious, desperate, spilling out onto the streets like blood gushing from a wound. Those kind of protesters have cheekbones poking sharply through the skin of their faces, and eyes which have grown wild and angry and boiling.
